Corey W (H) was the tech that came out to the house and troubleshooted/resolved the problem (leaking refrigerant). He also advised on probability of future repairs. Sadly, the unit performed well for only a short time before failing. It was time to consider my options. Repairs were becoming more frequent and costly. Tyler (H System Designer) visited and walked around my house inspecting my current HVAC system. We discussed repairing or replacing my ailing AC unit. "I purchased a coupon special for this company to do an A/C diagnostic. Wow, one of the best service experiences I've had in some time. Henry and John arrived at my house, and donned shoe booties before entering. They went to work checking my indoor unit first, and joked of what a shame for them that my system was in such good shape. LOL. These guys were very professional, yet personable. After checking the existing system output, they went outside to check on that unit. Henry told me my freon level was low, and even took me outside to show me the gauges and what the numbers meant. My coupon price of $59 included up to 1 pound of freon if needed, but Henry said I'd probably need 2 pounds, for an extra cost of $65. He came back inside and rechecked system output, and my, what a difference. Before they came, my system would run for hours just to keep the temp in the house at 75 deg. He set the thermostat to 70 before he started, and the system shut off at 70 degrees just after they left, After cleaning up, I was only charged $50 for the extra freon. All in all, I'm very pleased with this company, and will not hesitate to use them again when I need service."

"I used Sila Heating Cooling and Plumbing service a few weeks ago because my HVAC system was giving me trouble. This was during the start of the heat wave and for some reason outside unit/condenser unit stopped working. The Inside unit was still working/blowing, but the condenser did not work. I called up Sila and they were able to send someone out right away. There was a program deal, so the charge to send someone out to inspect the problem was reduced to $79.00. Tyler Brawner was the technician they send out to inspect my unit. He not only found the issue, which was a worn out capacitor that needed to be replace. He clean the unit, and checked on my inside unit to make sure it was cooling properly. Tyler was a great tech who was transparent enough too discussed and guided me through everything he was doing, and provide me with some at home maintenance tips for my system. It’s about one month now and the unit is running as normal. Everything all together cost $313.37, I will definitely use their company again, check back with them close to winter to inspect the heating portion of the system."

"Our furnace finally bit the dust after 25 years of faithful service. I had TriState do several small repairs and maintenance on it over the years, and they always did a good job. So, when the last service rep told me it was finally beyond repair, we consulted with Comfort Specialist, Darren, who isn't just a salesman, but previously installed and repaired HVAC systems. He took lots of measurements, inspected the old unit and the runs to the outside and upstairs. He took his time making calculations and offered us several options on a new system. TriState uses Daikin furnaces, which are rated in the top 5 furnaces for dependability and efficiency. The price, I thought, compared to my two other neighbors, who also recently purchased new systems, was even lower than I thought it going to be. In fact, my neighbors paid more (by thousands) and have a smaller square footage footprint than my house. We've had the unit now for over a month, and so far, it's great. It is a one-zone system, yet the upstairs will only vary by one or two degrees. This is much better than the old unit. We're hoping this small variance in temperature will also apply when the AC is on in the summer. The installers were very professional, arrived on time and completed the work in a timely manner. I would definitely use TriState again, and will rely on them whenever I need service."

"Excellent service, very fast response to my request for service, picked up laptop, diagnosed issues. Initially thought it was an OS update issue but the hard drive had failed along with other components (including 'CPU). Because other components were involved, a new solid state hard drive was put into a laptop with a working processor - same type CPU as in the failed unit. The laptop was repaired and returned in less than a week. This company picked up and dropped off the laptop (driving from Huntsville, AL (about 60-70 minutes)-- great service in this covid environment. I would recommend this company to my family./friends and will use again."
