"My mother's air conditioner stopped working in the middle of a heat wave. She got a recommendation and the repair guy came out and advised that she needed a new condenser at a cost of $5,6000. Yes, "eye popping". I went to Home Adviser and based on the recommendations selected Choice Builders. Jesse went the next day to do an estimate/repair. The diagnosis was that a main wire had been disconnected that prevented the condenser from working. Jesse re-hooked the wire and the air conditioner started, The repair cost was nominal. I just want everyone to know that there are people out there that prey on the elderly and then there are honest folks like Jesse willing to do the right thing. In the event that we do need a condenser, I would not hesitate to call Choice Builders to do the work , knowing that I will get a fair price and excellent work. Thanks, HA & Jesse!!!!"

"Chris, his son, and the rest of his team was very professional. I'll start by saying that we had called AJ Perri for an emergency, who charged us a reasonable $95 to snake the sewage drain from the clean out outside to the street. Then they recommended a camera of our line due to resistance at about 80 feet. The camera showed corrosion and puddling at the end of our lawn just before the sidewalk. They quoted us $15,000 to do a liner instead of full replacement!!! My brother worked for our uncle's plumbing business for 10 years down in TX. My brother swore up and down AJ Perri was charging outrageously and convinced us to get other quotes. Roto Rooter came in at $13,000, again my brother told me to get quotes from smaller local companies, as he and my uncle would have a charged around $5,000 and given a warranty. We reached out to three smaller companies, including Chris and his son, and they were all in the same ballpark at just a littmore more than 1/3 of what AJ Perri quoted us, including full replacement of the cast iron sewage pipe and replacement of the water line. Since the other quotes were in the same general ball park (within $1,000 or so), we went off the quality and quantity of reviews and Chris and his son had great reviews on HomeAdvisor and other places on the web. Working with them was easy. They kept us apprised of the process. The permit took a little longer to get than expected due to a mistake about what township we're in (it happens more often than we would like). Other than that, there were no issues, and aside from having to spend a lot of money on something that isn't seen, it's obviously necessary, and we're pleased with the work (the problem started with the plumbing on our lower level backing up). We highly recommend Chris and his company."

"Santos and his helper did a great job working on our storm door. After he removed the door he had to remove rotted wood that was part of the door frame. He had to cut and replace with new wood. He then did a great job replacing all the aluminum around the door frame. The storm door was then reinstalled. It was late in the day when they finished. But there was a slight issue with the door latching. The very next morning Willy called and asked if he could come over and take care of that issue. We set up a time for Willy to come and he did an excellent job fine tuning the door closure. He couldn’t have been more respectful and professional. It was a pleasure dealing with Willy. "I had L&B replace my air conditioning system in the spring; I waited until now to write my review because I wanted to test the system in the middle of the summer. L&B were the second company that I called for an estimate. I already knew what the issue was and had an estimate of the repair cost. L&B impressed me right from the start. Larry(I'm bad with names and this is 5 months ago; so I could be wrong with the name) was professional and told me exactly what was wrong and recommended what needed to be done. He gave me a quote that was within my budget. We talked further and I explained my sporadic schedule down at the shore. (This reminds me, Larry fit me into his busy schedule to come and give me an estimate the Saturday that I called him.) By the time we finished talking, I signed a contract with him, gave him a 50% deposit, and the key to my unit. That's how well he impressed me. He gave me a work schedule and more importantly, he stuck to it and called me with updates! The work was done on time! Yes, the system worked great; but it was still spring and before I wrote my review, I wanted to test the system in the HEAT os the summer. Well, I have tested it; AND IT WORKS AWESOME! I highly recommend L&B. A great company, great work, great price."
