"The main water line to my house broke and was running water on to the ground at 8-10 gallons per minute. After I got the water turned off at the meter, I called Crow's Plumbing. I picked them from Angi's List based on the number of very positive reviews. Their man showed up as scheduled, reviewed with me the situation and possible solutions, gave me an estimate to repair the water line, contacted his office to determine if any discounts would be available (and there was), completed the work in a very professional and timely manner. Happy to have water in the house again!!!"

"It's now been 2 weeks since Roger himself came out and quickly replaced the (probably 15+ year old) faucet with a good-quality metal replacement. He also offered to do a walkaround inspection with me. <br /> During the inspection, he caught a few things (some of which I knew about from the home inspector when I purchased, and some that were issues with non-code work). His non-pushy nature and professionalism decided me to have them to come back and do some of the more strenuous exterior repairs, which they did (which was, of course, a completely different job from the agreed-on faucet replacement). They did the work while I was offsite, including digging a ditch to install some valves. when I came home, the place appeared just as I'd left it except for the new additions - the ditch work was unnoticeable except for it being the only ground with no weeds. <br /> Yes, their prices are not the cheapest, but it's a fixed price so they don't have any reason to stretch out the time - they do the work, then move on. But, as far as I can tell, they also did the work correctly. <br />"

"These guys were Amazing! Two months ago my pilot light on my 15 year old water heater went out. They were out within three hours to relight and give us a quote on a tankless system. The bid was very reasonable so I called the operations manager and asked him if we should move forward with the installation or hold off until the old water heater died. Naturally I assumed he would push me to replace but he said he would hold off until the old one died. I was completely impressed that they didn’t to encourage me to buy right away. Two months later on Thanksgiving it started leaking. I called Excalibar back on Thanksgiving thinking I would be leaving a message and they answered. Not only did they answer but they scheduled replacement of the hot water heater for Monday and it was done by the end of day on Monday. We couldn’t be happier with the service or the tankless product. I would absolutely consider paying a little extra to get the recirculating system so that you have “on demand” hot water. It’s really nice to jump in the shower and have hot water immediately."

"I had a couple of issues with my plumbing. Leaking faucets, slow drains, and a small leak in my master bedroom wall. Called We Plumb, Zach came out and diagnosed my issues, gave me options to fix and/or replace. All issues addressed, I called a week later and got my waterheater replaced. I found my go to plumber."

"I purchased a home in Cedar Park and needed a new water heater and other small plumbing repairs done. I saw Daniel&apos;s Plumbing advertisement on HomeAdvisor, so I decided to call him. I&apos;m so glad I did! Daniel is very knowledgeable, professional, and a genuinely nice guy. His work is A+ and the price for the work done is very fair. I highly recommend Daniel&apos;s Plumbing, LLC for all your plumbing needs!"

FAQs for water main install, replace or repair projects in Manor, TX

If you notice puddles or standing water in your yard, a sudden drop in water pressure, cracks forming in your foundation, frequent clogs in your plumbing fixtures, or water that looks or smells unusual, you might have a leak in your main water line. These signs mean it's time to call a professional to evaluate the issue and prevent further damage.

A professional water main inspection is a comprehensive evaluation performed by a licensed plumber who checks every section of your plumbing system. The inspection costs $165 and uses advanced diagnostic techniques to identify hidden leaks or wear. This service clarifies the exact condition of your water main, enabling precise repairs that prevent future damage and ensure the overall health of your plumbing system.

Protect your water main by scheduling a cleaning and inspection every two to five years. The average cost of a sewer line cleaning is $400. It’s also important to never dig in your yard without first calling the dig line (811) to ensure you don't accidentally hit the water or sewer lines. Watch for soil erosion, low water pressure, or wet spots in your yard, and take immediate action if you suspect a leak. Remember, the longer you leave it, the worse the problem gets and the more costly it is to fix.

When properly maintained, your water main is engineered to remain functional for 50 years or longer. A durable water service in excellent condition should consistently perform without major issues for half a century. In contrast, metal pipes exposed to acidic soil corrode faster, whereas modern plastic pipes resist corrosion and function for decades beyond metal alternatives. Regular maintenance and inspections are essential for confirming your system’s longevity.

No, homeowners insurance does not cover the cost to repair a water main. Insurers fund only sudden, unforeseen events like a burst pipe and exclude gradual issues or normal wear and tear. Damage resulting from leaks, such as mold remediation or property claims, is not covered. It is essential to contact your insurance provider immediately to confirm your policy’s details and any potential adjustments needed.
