“Bell Brothers Plumbing Heating and Air was founding in 1991 in Elk Grove, CA by brothers Kenny & Jerry Bell. After almost 30 years in the business, Bell Brothers has expanded to not only specialize in heating and air services, but windows installation, plumbing, sewer, duct work replacement and insulation. With more than $5,000,000 in Home Energy Upgrade rebates earned for their customers, Bell Brothers has established themselves a leader in California’s Home Energy Upgrade Program for utility companies SMUD and PG&E. Today there are over 160 trucks on the road and over 200 employees daily serving the greater Sacramento area and parts of seven surrounding counties. It comes to no surprise that Bell Brothers delivers 365 Days of Satisfaction to all their customers by providing the highest install standards, the best trained technicians and year-round service. Bell Brothers guarantees that you’ll love your service or your money back, that’s what makes them the “No Surprise Guys!”
"UPDATE 4/25/2023 4 yrs after installation of a system that Bell Brothers designed and installed, my energy bills are higher than they were with the 20 yr old system it replaced. We have fewer people in the home, and it is supposed to be a high efficiency system. After numerous complaints, inspections, and supposed repairs to solve the problem, Bell Brothers told me that I need to turn off my high-tech, automatic thermostats and operate them manually as needed. Oh, and NEVER turn on more than 2 of my 3 zones at any one time. So much for the NO SURPRISE GUYS. UPDATE 3/18/23 AFTER CONTACT WITH BELL BROS We have been contacted by Bell Bros since this review with an offer to replace the plenum and reprogram the zone board. We requested a written explanation of those repairs, and how they would solve the problem. We have not received that information. UPDATE 9/19/22 - AFTER TRUE-UP My energy usage (and annual bill) is higher after replacing a 20+ year-old system with one that is supposed to be more efficient. That makes no sense. We have fewer people in the house, and have had more than our share of power outages and flex alerts. This is definitely a very expensive purchase that we thoroughly regret. UPDATE 9/8/21 - AFTER 3 DAYS OF HEAT WAVE We typically open doors and windows or run the whole house fan to take advantage of the cooler morning temperatures. Since the insulation was upgraded, the temperature inside the house seems to be holding between 10-15 degrees cooler than outside. At this point, we are comfortable and looking forward to see if our heating/cooling bills are lower at true-up. UPDATE TO ADD ACTIONS TAKEN BY BELL BROS SINCE MY REVIEW Approximately 1 week after this review was posted, I received a message from Bell Bros Sales Manager wanting to discuss my insulation options. When I returned his call and gave him the details of my experience with his company, he apologized and offered to insulate my home at no cost. Needless to say, that was a more than fair offer and I accepted. In spite of some unprofessional communication issues, the work was performed yesterday and we are waiting to see whether it makes a difference in our comfort and/or our hvac bills. I am raising the rating to 2 stars now, and will be updating the rating further if we see some positive changes in how our system works. ORIGINAL REVIEW Installed complete HVAC system to replace 20 year old system in 4000 sq ft house. Represented that new system would operate more efficiently and should decrease my heating/cooling costs significantly. Prior to installation, they inspected my entire system, including insulation and ductwork and made recommendations for the best system for my needs. I asked about insulation at the time of the install and was told it didn't need to be installed. Two years later, my bills are HIGHER, and now they tell me I only have 6" of insulation when I should have 16". Temperatures in my house are consistently higher than the selected temperature. I have one room which takes more than an hour before the air begins to blow. They tell me it is because this room is so far from the unit. They are the ones who decided where to place the unit. Very unhappy with the difference between what they told me I needed, and what I actually got. Services: Install thermostat, A/C system maintenance, Heating system installation, HVAC duct & vent installation, HVAC system maintenance"

The year was 1950, on the heels of the second world war Jack Lavine, a young entrepreneur and heating and air conditioning craftsman opened Lavine & Co., a heating company in Oakland California with a dream and a passion for serving his community. Just a few years later, halfway across the country in the small town of Bessemer, Bob Broman opened Blue Flame Heating with the same dream, drive and passion to help his community thrive in the bitter cold of Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. While Bob continued as the owner/operator of Blue Flame Heating until his retirement in 2005, Jack partnered with Norm Kay to help grow his business. Lavine & Co. grew, but slower than they wanted, so they brought in some “fresh blood”, Norm’s son Dale to accelerate growth. With Lavine & Co. growing into a leader in the Oakland heating market, Dale quickly realized he needed more help. In 1998 he brought on his niece Jacque Santos. Jacque and Dale led Lavine’s to over a decade of prosperity, until 2009 when they opted for a better lifestyle in the Central Valley. In 2009 Honey's. was born. Jacque and Dale opened Honey's. with the same goals Bob Broman and Jack Lavine had – to serve their community and neighbors. In 2014 Dale was ready to focus on his family, so he invited Ray Broman (Bob Broman’s Grandson) to purchase his portion of Honey's. Using the training and tools Ray had acquired in his 15 years in the HVAC industry, and the absolute best co-workers, Ray and Jacque grew Honey's Air, Inc. into the premier home services provider in the Central Valley. Today Honey's Air, Inc. boasts a large team of many employees, including Ray’s wife, son and daughter, along with Jacque’s father, uncle and son. We have adopted and embraced the “No Stinger Promise”, our unique offer in the market.
"It was my fault that decided to install the solar system with Honey's air solar.jest because of good reviews web.I didn't expect them to have no experience , every city follows the law of installation . From the beginning to decision to installation was made in January 20022. As result task completed at the end of October 2022. It was irresponsible for the workers to find the installation. made holes or sabotage for the wall. multiple times with the installation manager via email and phone. promise it will fix . Now say that's it. not taking responsibility. Maybe the company specialized heating or air condition not solar."

Building codes call for a window well that sits at least eight inches below the bottom of the window and extends six inches past each side. A quick way to get the minimum dimensions is to add 12 inches to the window’s width and eight inches to its height. For egress windows, most areas require a minimum of 36 inches by 36 inches and a depth of approximately three to five feet to provide a safe emergency exit.
Adding a drain is the best way to keep water from pooling in the well and leaking into the basement. Connecting the well to a French drain or sump pump channels runoff away from the foundation, and proper grading supports the system by directing water downhill. If you notice standing water or moisture, talk with a pro about upgrading the drainage before it compromises the structure.
Plan to replace the window well once you notice persistent leaks, water pooling, rust, or cracking—any indication that the well is no longer protecting the basement. Handling the project quickly safeguards the foundation and avoids costly repairs down the road by stopping moisture before it spreads. Consult a window installation pro for an inspection to see if it’s time to replace your window well.
