Jeremy did our initial estimate and provided us with a thorough explanation of the system. I already had done a significant amount of research comparing Alarm.com to ADT and some of the self-install options, but Jeremy was able to provide even more information and help me to understand better the pros and cons of each approach. Larry did our installation and also was very friendly and knowledgeable, explaining each step of the installation process and providing me with a tutorial at the end. "When American Jewel installed the door I gave them A grades as I thought they did an excellent job.  But after using the door for a few weeks I noticed the dead bolt didn't close completely, but only about 2/3, and also noticed the screen door was no longer aligned properly, so although it closed and looked right, the door was slightly off and it would no longer lock.  I called American Jewel and they scheduled the installer to return and make the minor corrections.  The installer did not show up.  When I called American Jewel again, they did not return my calls. I complained to Angie's List, and via their complaint resolution process American Jewel contacted me.  They were very apologetic and attributed it to a mix up, accepted responsibility and sent the installer to my home to make the minor corrections.  I would use American Jewel again, despite this hiccup, as my wife and I like the door they installed, feel we received excellent value, and ultimately American Jewel followed through on the minor problems I described and corrected them all."

"We had an old home that had gotten too small for a growing family. We liked our neighborhood and wanted to remodel/add on. Matt (MTL Contracting) advised that it would be more cost efficient to replace the old house with a new modular home. He helped us from the beginning in planning out the home, letting us look at many Modular home plans from his supplier and from online sources that we found and letting us modify them to suit our needs. Matt delivered everything promised. We ended up with a very nice NEW house at far less cost than it would have been to move into a comparable one close to our neighborhood and without the headaches of updating old construction. At the outset, he said "I want to give you a TURNKEY house. Everything will be ready for you to move in" and that was what happened. Matt did a lot of the finishing work (front porch, garage, interiors etc..) himself in addition to subcontracting. We picked out hardwood flooring and he installed it, he installed the appliances we bought, tiled the bathrooms with our selection of tile etc.. In addition to building the house, he has stood by the construction and has made himself available when things needed attention (routine settling cracks, some siding that blew off in a windstorm etc.) We had a deck on the old house, and he managed to remove it during demolition and re-attach it to the new house. Later, we decided to remove the deck and put in a patio and MTL came in with a great price and put in a very nice Paver Patio. I would recommend MTL Contracting for your construction needs large and small. Great value and workmanship at competitive prices."

Dan is a very pleasant and knowledgeable "gentleman" who works very hard at explaining the tasks that needed to be performed. When the work was scheduled to be performed, the installers were knowledgeable professionals, who showed up on time and worked long hours to get the work complete within the two date estimate.

The work was done with respect for my property and without undue interruptions. The installers were also very pleasant and informative.

Dave Condin was the final person who came to do quality control. He is an amazing and talented person. He is fun to talk with and seems to be the ultimate problem solver.

A week after the installation we are now facing a heat wave, and I can already see the benefits of this program. My house does not heat up because of the attic. The air conditioning runs less frequently, and the house seem far more comfortable.

The best part is that PEPCO agrees to a rebate off the cost of the installation. This makes the process and unbelievable bargain.

"Called for estimate and received call back and appointment within hours. Arrived to give estimate precisely on time with professional courtesy, Sent estimate which included photos and well documented breakdown of the work to be done including specific parts and labor. Day of installation went exactly as promised. New skylights look gorgeous, solved the leak problem and were an improvement! All areas were left clean and all packaging and debris were taken away. Would highly recommend and use again."

"Ricardo was punctual & easy to work with in every way. I particularly appreciated his patience in working with us on getting the stain the way we wanted it. His staff were polite, careful, competent & neat. We used the dustless method & would probably do so again, but be aware that it involves a gasoline driven motor & there is noise from that, plus, on a muggy day in tight quarters, some fumes from that engine, even though it ii operated out of a separate trailer, outside the home. It may have been a little more present for us because you cannot park in front of our house, so the trainer was in our driveway and the garage door was kept open to run the flexible vacuum duct into the house though the garage. However, there was in fact no dust left in the house from the sanding and that meant a lot in terms of not having to clean up after the work & in terms of air quality.
