"Don't need to know anything. The workmen will answer any questions eagerly. My project was not major (level my personal front sidewalk from the City's to my door) and only took 1 hour. These guys said they can work several projects a day, but some things like lifting and doing substantial things like driveways will take most of the day."

"Our project was to lift and balance a garage floor and long driveway using foam. Marc, Ben and Andrew showed up on time, did a thorough job, explaining the process every inch of the way. They did what was contracted for plus a bit. The cleanup was everything I could have asked for. We were told exactly what possible problems to watch for and what to do about them. A very good experience and a good warranty."

"Expert House Movers brought a crew of 6-8 & came in late August 2013 to start the process of raising & moving the house.  My husband had done all the prep work of disconnecting the utilities & removing the furnace, etc. They dug access ramps to the old foundation/basement with bobcats.  They poked good sized holes around the foundation so they could put in steel beams and jack up the house.  Our foundation was from 1917 & built from old creek gravel cement, so it was pretty tough.  It took three & half days to jack the house & move it over the driveway.  It seemed really fast to me.  The only thing to fall in the house was a picture off the piano.  We still had access to the house through a tall ladder to get clothes, etc. that we needed. <br /> We took over the process of arranging excavation, concrete pouring, and carpenters with more local contractors.  Expert does have concrete people & others they use in the St Louis area that know exactly the requirements needed for the new foundation. <br /> After the basement was poured & cured (curing takes about 3-4 weeks), Expert returned in October 2013 to move & set the house.  They had been in contact with the concrete man for specifications, but there were no slots for the beams when setting the house down.  A concrete worker had to come & cut those slots.  We had a carpenter on hand to finish the sill installment & make sure the sills for the permanent beams was correct & set the support posts in the basement.  We also had a friend's tractor help Expert's bobcat pull the house back over the foundation.  While all this was going on, Expert was jacking and moving supports & placing slider beams & raising & lowering the house.  The process was complete in about 2 1/2 days with care & precision.  Some of the cracks in our house even disappeared.  Great job guys. <br /> Our carpenters returned to build a staircase & some other requirements.  We are working on re-connecting utilities & returning the furnace, water heater, etc. to the new basement.  We plan to move back into the house in the first week or so in November 2013.  It's been a long process, but well worth it.  Made possible by Expert House Movers! <br />"

"The guy came to bid literally the same night I left a message on the machine. Great, personable guy. Knowledgeable too, I just drescribed to him the problem as I saw it, and he articulated the solution as he saw it. The price quoted was pretty reasonable I thought. <br /> <br /> Within a couple of weeks the job is already done. What I appreciated most about the job is that they did some concrete patching work that wasn't in the bid ... they just did it anyway. That is work I would have had to do myself eventually if I ever got around to it ... and it wouldn't have looked as professional that is for sure. The only reason I give them a B is because, though the leveling that they did is probably perfectly fine/necessary, I look at some of the areas and wonder if it shouldn't be even higher. But I'm just Joe Homeowner ... typically I leave the expert stuff to the experts. No complaints really, I wouldn't hesitate to call these guys if you are looking to do concrete work because of soil erosion. Most concrete outfits I called won't give a small job the time of day, these guys appreciate your business and are good at what they do. <br /> <br /> Hand-written on the bill were some instructions and suggestions ... I appreciated that."

FAQs for concrete injection leveling mudjacking projects in Fargo, ND

Mudjacking and foam jacking differ significantly in both materials and methods. Mudjacking uses a cement-based slurry to fill voids beneath a slab, while foam jacking uses expanding polyurethane foam delivered under high pressure to achieve superior structural support. This material distinction enhances load-bearing strength and overall stability in your repair.

Mudjacking takes between one and three days to dry completely. During this time, it's important to avoid putting weight on the slab until it's fully cured. The drying time depends on the project size and environmental conditions. In contrast, polyurethane foam used in foam jacking can cure in as little as one hour.

No, mudjacking is not a permanent fix for sinking concrete. While it effectively lifts the slab and can last five to 10 years, it doesn't address underlying soil issues that may cause future sinking. For a more permanent solution, you might consider foam jacking or complete slab replacement, which can address deeper structural problems.
