"I rank Landson Construction #1 in the list of contractors we have hired in our 40 years of home ownership. Ari and his team of subcontractors recently completed a challenging remodel of one of our bathrooms--challenging because it is a very small area with limited space. Their finished job looks better than our separate remodel of a larger bathroom completed by one of the big firms that advertises daily on television. Examples: the tile work in our small shower is exceptional, and the vanity/oversized sink is a perfect match that does not dominate the small room. Ari Erickson (no relation to me) offered selections from his preferred vendors, but we had full latitude to shop on our own for all tile and fixtures. He and his subcontractors kept us fully apprised at all stages of the project, arrived promptly throughout the course of the work, responded promptly to our texts and emails, and cleaned up their work area at the end of each day. My highest recommendation: I always seek at least four bids for a major project, but I would forego that process and hire Landson Construction again for future building/remodeling projects, and would encourage friends and family to do the same."

"If you are looking for paver patios, the installers are great. They did a very nice job, and were professional throughout. They would clean up every day before leaving, addressed any questions we had timely and we are very satisfied with the results. We also added a gazebo to our patio design. It was very clear that gazebo's are not one of their strengths. We encountered many issues with the design and build of the gazebo long before construction began. We had hired Josh in October to complete all elements of the landscaping project the following spring. Over the winter months, we had asked on many occasions for catalog photos, or anything that would confirm what the finished gazebo was going to look like. The pictures were never sent and the only indication of what it might look like came just a few days before the project began and was a very small (1x1) black and white picture. Our expectation of the gazebo was that the material used would be cedar. We had asked for glass windows that could be closed during the cooler and winter months. We were assured on many occasions that cedar material and glass windows were what we were going to get. As they were starting to build the gazebo, the material was not cedar, rather it was pressed wood. As the windows were installed, they were not glass (despite being told that very day they were glass), instead they were a plastic film over the screens. We were left in a very difficult position where we were essentially forced to concede on both elements. While the gazebo is functional, and will suit our needs, had Josh sent just ONE picture sometime in the 5 months or so prior the project start, we may have been able to make a different decision. Related, and something else to be aware of. When trying to reach Josh about start dates, etc I would say he was not always as responsive as I would have expected. Furthermore, there were multiple instances where what was promised was not delivered. Again, if you are looking at a paver or patio project - these guys are great and I would recommend their workmanship. However beware of anything more than that."

"Eric Mortenson did a phenomenal job building our new deck. He was very professional and easy to work with. He spent a great deal of time with us when we were looking at options to replace our existing deck with a new larger deck. The work was performed on time as stated and the quality of work was exceptional. He handled all the issues with our city regarding permits, calling to have all utility lines marked, etc. It gave us great peace of mind that all the details were handled. We would definitely have him do work for us again."

"We can see why Joel and his company are in such great demand.  The project went very smoothly from estimate to completion.  We wanted to remove an unsightly boat deck that had been built up on a hodgepodge of wood frames between two garages and replace it with a distinctive patio.  Joel's team removed the back fence using a Sawz-all, demolished and hauled away the deck, dug down several inches using a bobcat and shovels to level the ground, added what appeared to be several inches of compact base, and then installed a mixed bluestone patio with an angled opening to the yard.  The bluestones themselves are beautiful, and very thick.  Due to the dry fall weather, they were able to get to our project early and, with a double team of 4 overseen by Joel himself, were able to complete the work in one day.  Joel and his team were very courteous and mindful of our years.  I was expecting the project to do major damage to the yard and/or to scar the garage foundation, but the work was very precise and clean and inflicted almost no damage to either.  We love the new "outdoor room" and are only sorry that we have to wait until next spring to put it to good use/show it off. <br />"
