The owners of this company have personally moved me, 2 different Times within 2 months. They have also moved my mom and helped her with many extra things to assist her with her big move from Texas to Asheville. "Choice Home Warranty presents their company as the best home warranty. The sales pitch I received on the phone multiple times and in my countless e-mails that they sent. The information stated that repairs are done at times on the same day. I did purchase the warranty in June 2023. I called for my first service on July 21st. When my washer was draining the water my kitchen sink filled up with the water the washer was draining. I was then told that the job is sent out and we wait 24-48 hours for the response with an appointment. So I waited and followed up with a call to Choice. I was told no one had accepted the job. I received a phone call from Falcon Plumbing asking if I still needed service? I said yes!! The service was scheduled on July 26th. That is 5 days after my request for service. Not the same day not right away 5 days later. The young man that came out was very efficient . He cleared the pipe and asked me to run the washer to see that the water did not back up into the sink again. Problem solved. I did pay the required $75.00 for the service. I am very disappointed that Choice sounded like it was better than other home warranty co. I realize that Choice was not concerned with getting my repair right away. I have had a home warranty on my home since I purchased it 5 years ago. I think they are just like protection plans you purchase on a home appliance. Everyone will explain how you need this so much when they are trying to sell it to you. Hoping you never need to use it...Bad first experience."

"The work done was done very well with attention to detail and thinking through what was needed to make sure it was a success. We had a new sink installed in our master bathroom and the job done professionally and timely as well as clean up on the work done too. "Well, the first time the replacement was ordered it was the wrong one, which of course, delayed the installation a week. When it was finally installed I had to pay an additional $850 for code upgrades. This I was not informed of by Home Shield. Then we noticed that there was water on the garage floor and found that the pipe coming in from the wall was leaking at the wall so had to call the plumbing company back out to fix it. They first tried to say it was not their fault but since there wasn't a leak before they installed they did fix it. I have used Home Shield a few times before and never had a problem. Some of the companies they use are not the best so you have to research them before you commit. I have found HS service to be good if you do your homework. At the end of the day I was without hot water for almost 3 weeks but it was do to the plumbing company they sent out."

"In the end I was satisfied with the quality of the work itself. I did, however, have issues with scheduling and pricing. I explained my only day off is Thursday when I made the appointment for 3pm. At 3:15pm, when they had not shown, I called them and they explained they were stuck at another work site and said they would not be coming for my sink, which was not working at all. This was so frustrating and disappointing as I was not able to try and contact another plumber about the work. An hour later, they called to say they could come while I was trying to find someone else, which caused me undue stress. ||For pricing I asked specific questions about this ahead of time. The technician, after the service, said there was a flat fee of $200 and this is not what I was told specifically when I asked Denise for that info. The price did however seem high as well they were only here for about a half hour and there was no reason for me to be surprised by the pricing, which needs to be more transparent with them. Just seemed shady, untrustworthy and gives me pause for using them in the future, which I will not do."

"In working with a new company it is my nature to be very cautious and even skeptical concerning trusting the work. Even after being recommended by a close family member; I still was concerned about the percentage rate they were asking for, in the contract they presented. I must say however; after seeing their professionalism, work ethic, documentation, and the detailed reports they provided to establish and ultimately win my case; I was not only pleased but I'm convinced enough to say, I would use them again and recommend them to both other home owners and to friends."

The damaged subflooring replacement went quite well (an A Rating on this). The faucet installation was also okay, but the rest of our experience with Mr. Saunders was not very satisfactory. He frequently stopped work on our project to tend to other ones. That is not unusual up here, but I almost always had to call him before he would come back, which led to about two months of living with our furniture displaced. Another problem was that his assistant cracked the new light covering. Mr. Saunders did offer to replace it, but by that time there had been so many delays, I told him not to bother since it was not all that noticeable.



Mr. Saunders also lost professionalism points with me because he constantly complained about things, such as the amount of dust he found under the old carpeting and the number of staples used in the subflooring of our manufactured home.  Then after telling us we had to be extra careful about cleaning up the dust or the vinyl would not lay properly, he and his assistant did not remove the staples and did a sloppy job of leveling the subflooring before laying down the vinyl. Again, as with the light cover, I just decided to give up and get him out of our home.
