"I LOVE Neli. I've used them three times now. Harmond (my Neli service man) is a joy to work with and an absolute walking encyclopedia of appliance repair. Our thirty-year-old washer are dryer are running like new, at a fraction of the cost of replacing them."

"The plumber was excellent. I have used them twice and never had any complaints. The name of the company is called Energy Wise Heating & A/c inc. He is in Warrenton Virginia. The last time I used him was in October to check the pipes and winterize my system. Obviously his service was excellent. I never had to call him back. Once he came and did the job I never had to call him back for anything. I have used him for my heater and my air conditioner. In the summer time I call him and he would do a tune up on my air conditioner. He cleans it up and gives me a tune up. He checked my pipe and in the winter time he would winterize my house. I have never had to call him back. Before I called him I have had my pipes burst four years in a row. All my pipes have busted four years in a row. Since I have called him I haven't had my pipes burst. He is going to come back next month. Right now I don't know if my pipes' busted because I haven't got my water on yet. I don't know if it works yet because I haven't got the water on yet but we will get to know. He is going to come back in April and open my system up. Everything is shut now. I did have a coupon for the price. As far as the price he has been cheaper than what I have paid before. I will use him in the future. Right now he is on my top list. He is my third one and right now he is on the top list."

"It went very well. Jake did a great job of replacing my fan motor -- no problems. He was very thorough and he is very professional. He checked to see if there were any other problems, and found none. He arrived on time and was very polite. I like this company very much."

"Our old Kenmore washer started making horrible noises.  Bailed it out and contacted our home warranty company, Old Republic.  They sent our request to one of their contractors, Appliance Protection, LLC .  Old Republic said that I would hear from Appliance Protection, LLC by that afternoon.  I didn't hear back from Appliance Protection, LLC. so that evening I called and explained that I was covered by Old Republic and was told that they had not been contacted by Old Republic. I was put on their schedule for the following day.  As promised, Sam showed up within the time period I was given.  He had the part with him and was able to make the repair quickly.  His fee was $75, which is the cost to us through our Old Republic coverage

"Replaced kitchen cabinets, installed new appliances and quartz countertops with tile backsplash, tore down and rebuilt attached family room, added island to kitchen, replaced flooring with hardwood and upgraded electrical in both rooms, new lighting in family room, refinished wood floors in all downstairs rooms, upgraded electrical service to 200A, ran new circuit to garage. Work began immediately after Thanksgiving and most work completed and appliances installed Dec 23rd just in time for holidays. Work was done quickly, efficiently and professionally, trash constantly removed, foreman was always available and immediately responsive during this time. We were required to purchase new appliances ourselves which they installed, which we preferred. 1/3 payment required upfront, 1/3 when work started and the remainder when work was substantially completed and rooms livable (their definition). The contract allowed 10% of that final payment to be held back until all work listed and priced in the contract was completed. Although that seemed to be a lot to pay before work was completed, I correctly believed they could be trusted to complete the work quickly and properly. When mistakes were made which occasionally happened (e.g. a light wouldn't turn off and the range hood wouldn't vent), they returned immediately to correct the problem. All the contractors and subcontractors were professional, polite and helpful."

"Amazing. Called and Beth, the person who answered the phone, found a technician and dispatched him. Bill Davis was the technician and he went above and beyond in his service. Found the problem; attempted to remedy with minor work and when that didn't work he figured out why, got the part, provided a quote and within the hour had the item replaced; water heater working and all for a reasonable price. Actually, it cost less for Airflow to repair my water heater than the service charge another company was going to charge me just to come out. I'll use Airflow for all my HVAC and water heater needs. Oh, and all this service with a smile and professionalism. Everyone went above and beyond especially during this Pandemic and a Friday to boot."

"Over the summer of 2024 I had a small shed built at our home. Oaken Electrical Service ran electric service from my home panel to the shed. This included trenching from the house to the shed, new 40 amp panel in the shed, outlets, lights and switches. The work passed all county inspections on the first visit. They have also done 3 small jobs in the house. I would feel confident to recommend Oaken for electrical work to friends and others. The price was fair and they were very responsive. Very happy with a job well done."

"I have been very impressed with Mr. DeWitt's level of expertise and professionalism. I have an older home (1957) with many non-standard sized fixtures, door frames, etc. and Mr. DeWitt has had to research and come up with creative solutions for fixing/replacing problems. He is reliable, gets the work done in the time he says it will take, and checks back to make sure everythings working properly. Before Hurricane Irene arrived, he proactively made sure my old sump pump was operational & had to do a work-around to get it going. I wiII will continue to rely on his services as long as I own this house."

FAQs for appliance (major electric appliance) installation and replacement projects in Markham, VA

A pro starts by setting the units in place and connecting them to the right plumbing lines, electrical circuits, and, for the dryer, a vent. If the hookups already exist, the job is quick. When they don’t, the installer must add plumbing, outlets, or a vent run, which takes more time and increases the price, especially when the laundry area is located far from existing utilities.

You’ll need the right pros for a tight stacked setup. A natural-gas plumber handles the water lines, drain, and any gas work, while an electrician installs the circuit the dryer needs. If venting or framing changes are required, hire a general contractor to patch the drywall or adjust the framing so that everything meets code and operates safely.

Permanent models need complete plumbing, electrical, and—for dryers—vent hookups. Portable units skip most of that and can run on a standard outlet with a temporary water connection. If your home already has a code-approved hookup, you just connect the new appliances. If not, hire a licensed pro to add the lines and vent so the machines run safely and efficiently.

Relocating a hookup costs between $500 and $5,000, as it may involve installing new outlets, gas lines, vents, and drain pipes. The price increases when the new location is far from existing utilities or requires additional framing and drywall work. Have licensed professionals evaluate your layout, provide a quote for the move, and handle the installation so that every component meets code and works safely.
