They quickly isolated the problem.  There are outlets outside the house.  One of them was missing a cover causing water to get into the outlet and causing the short.  They installed covers and did whatever else needed to be done to resolve the he problem.

They were very professional, and took the time to explain the problem.  Previously, the company was here to do a repair.  I can't recall what it was, but at that time they also did excellent work.  In addition to making the necessary repairs, they gave me a checklist and estimates of items that needed addressing.  At that time, there was a lot going on (we had just moved in), and although they explained the items on the list, I didn't focus.  At the recent service call, I dragged out the checklist, and asked the men to explain it again.  They sat down and took the time to thoroughly explain all items on the list and answer all my questions.

I highly recommend the company and will be using them toe get started on the checklist in the very near future.

"Great! The appointment was scheduled with ease and the technician (Adam) arrived within the projected window. Our under-sink piping had also failed, so we were extremely happy to not only have a successful snaking of our drain but an excellent repair and correction to our under-sink piping. "Had viking plumbing put in a new faucet and snake out my septic line out to the street in order to ensure we don't have a partial block that may be causing some slow drains in the basement. The faucet was to replace one that was not functioning properly. The technician arrived promptly was very thorough and did a great job. I have his number for future jobs. As an update i had him come back the following week to replace an older out side faucet shutoff valve in the basement and more importantly the water shutoff for the home. Good thing we did becaise he showed me where it was leaking and could have been a big problem on the future. Cost was abou $400 for this service."

He also wore booties to protect the floor. Best of all, he was careful about testing the lowest-cost solution before bringing in larger tools and incurring more charges.
