Customers say: Terrific value

"Bob & Linda were both very easy to work with. I was hoping to wait until warmer weather to repair my porch; but, when some bricks feel out, I had to find someone quickly. They were responsive to my request for a quote and they were able to stabilize the porch rather quickly. I'm frequently in meetings at work and that makes it difficult to answer the phone and/or reach out to contractors. They were able to deal with me via email and text messages, which made the process much easier for me due to my busy schedule. They also did a great job rebuilding my porch. It looks great. I would hire them again if I need similar work done in the future."

"Jesse did a great job on fixing my mailbox! He was professional, on time, and left everything neat when he finished. It was a small project that most people wouldn’t even quote. I’d definitely recommend them to anyone needing brick or masonry work done right!"

"It went great. It had been several years since we last had our chimney cleaned. Despite their service area and pricing schedule changing, C&A still took the job and charged us the old price. Tim and his assistant were friendly, professional, thorough, and systematic in ensuring our fireplace and chimney was as clean and in as good repair as if it were their own. They provided outstanding service, superior maintenance, and excellent conversation. We couldn't be more satisfied, and look forward to their next visit."

"We live in Zionsville, which is where owner Rob is based. Rob was responsive and trustworthy. He knew how to handle the insurance side of the problem. Rob's crew, including Jimmy, who handled much of the finish work, was great. Jimmy constructed a built-in that has transformed our basement. What started as an incredible downer in terms of flooding ended up just fine, thanks to R&R. We would recommend R&R for any restoration issues, especially if you live in or around Zionsville."

"Great. Upon trimming the bushes, a rock went through a sunroom glass door, which required replacement by Blair windows and reapplication of the solar film by Distinctive Glass (Bryan Shoush). Matt Harden immediately took care of scheduling the repairs and promptly paying the vendors without any haggling/hassling. Peggy, the owner, has been a real professional to deal with. They will not be mowing after this season, so we'll need that service supplied by another vendor."

FAQs for brick or stone siding: repair or partially replace projects in Markleville, IN

Stone veneer isn’t a weekend DIY. Even lightweight faux panels are heavy and must be anchored, flashed, and sealed to keep water out. Missteps can lead to cracked stone, leaks, or injuries. A licensed siding contractor arrives with scaffolding, masonry tools, and the know-how to set each piece safely and neatly, giving you a long-lasting, professional finish.

Stone veneer durability is robust when expert installation and proper maintenance are employed. When installed with precision, regularly cleaned, and sealed as required, stone veneer maintains its integrity for 25 to 75 years. Inadequate installation, however, leads to water intrusion and structural issues that compromise its longevity. Consistent upkeep and adherence to quality installation standards ensure decades of reliable performance.

Covering the entire exterior of a home with stone veneer is feasible but comes with a significant cost increase. Full coverage escalates both material and labor expenses due to the additional square footage required. Many homeowners reduce costs by applying stone veneer selectively—such as around entries, foundations, or architectural accents—while still achieving an upscale appearance and enhancing overall curb appeal.

Installing stone veneer over brick or stucco is entirely possible when the underlying surface is stable and properly prepared. The substrate must be clean, dry, and free of any loose material to support a secure application. Additionally, any areas of flaking stucco or deteriorated mortar must be patched and allowed to cure fully before a professional applies the new veneer, ensuring lasting durability.

Stone veneer siding offers a substantial cost advantage compared to full-thickness natural stone. It costs 25% of the price of natural stone because it is manufactured from concrete and lightweight aggregates. This method delivers the genuine appearance of stone while featuring a thinner profile that simplifies shipping, accelerates installation, and consistently reduces material expenses.

For a 250 square foot exterior area, stone siding installation costs range from $9,800 to $18,000, while installing stone veneer costs between $5,000 and $6,000. This clear cost breakdown demonstrates the significant savings achieved with stone veneer, which uses a lighter construction method that minimizes both material and labor expenses. Homeowners benefit from these lower costs while still attaining the attractive look of natural stone.
