"My partner and I chose Blackstone Kitchen and Bath for our kitchen remodeling project. We had received four other quotes from contractors and after much deliberation, we chose Blackstone. This group did not offer us the cheapest or the most expensive quote (they were more the "middle of the pack"), but we chose them because we felt they offered good value and were honest about required permits. In the beginning we worked with Joe - he worked on the design of our kitchen and we were pleased with the number of options he presented us, despite us feeling as though we knew what we wanted. Even though we had a plan in mind, we ended up choosing one of Joe's designs. We were pleased with the overall organization at the beginning of the process. The company uses buildertrend.com to manage and communicate with the customer about the project. It was easy to sign a contract with them and start the remodel. As the project continued, we worked with three other people - Justin (project manager), and Saul and Marcus (builders). We were extremely pleased with the quality of work by Saul and Marcus. Every day they came they were pleasant, respectful, and worked hard to get the job done. They were very professional and always left the house nice and clean after their days work. They were great about communicating any issues to us, and very willing to go above and beyond for us. I would recommend Saul and Marcus for your project! Joe and Justin's communication was quick and their responses were timely. We did however have issues during our project that had occurred more than once. We had a wrong cabinet ordered, resulting in a wait to re-order the correct one and to install it. Our backsplash was ordered incorrectly, and our cabinet hardware was also ordered incorrectly, causing a delay in this project. Justin was good about re-ordering supplies, but we did have to communicate our issues quite frequently about the erroneous ordering. We also had an issue with things not being done accurately - we were told by one manager that we could have a certain floor piece but another manager said we couldn't. When we decided not to do this, the floor slab was still ordered anyway. We had miscommunication about the electric work - it was a "he said this" and "the other guy said that" - no one spoke to us, the homeowners, before completing that part of the project. Overall here are our pro/cons: Pro: great workmanship, professional staff, Saul and Marcus were absolutely wonderful, project finished within time-frame presented, timely response from management when there was an issue Cons: a little costly, contract is very broad and costs are not broken down too much (aside from cabinetry, backsplash, faucet, and countertops) so there are some blurred lines when it comes to covering the cost of certain issues that popped up during our project, difficulties with getting the correct things ordered causing delay in project, some disjointed communications"

"They were okay. It was a little expensive for what we got. It is very versatile. They are heavy duty wall panels that have horizontal slits in it and the system hangs from those slits. The biggest advantage is that we can move things around if our needs change. I've had to reinforce a couple of the cabinets and the shelving in the corners. It is plastic but it holds up pretty well because it is protected in the garage. I didn't think the amount of weight it says it will hold was necessarily correct in all cases. The hooks have been fine. My only issues have been with the cabinets. The price is pretty steep. They were late and it took them several days to get it installed."

"What a great experience! AMS Home Remodeling did a fabulous job on our kitchen and hallway. Frank and his crew installed ceramic tile, kitchen cabinets and countertops, and hardwood flooring. We were delighted! The crews were professional and reliable. They left the job site immaculate every evening. Frank was always available when we had questions or wanted to discuss upgrades. I found their price to be most competitive and we were thrilled with the quality and attention to detail. I think that was my favorite part-the attention to detail and the desire to have the project turn out the way that WE wanted it to.

While I was dreading having my living space all torn up and unavailable, it did not turn out to be a bad thing at all--it was exciting! His craftsmen seemed as enthusiastic about the changes and transformations as we were. It truly was like watching our dreams come true right before our eyes.
If you want a contractor to treat you like the most important customer they have, then chose AMS Home Remodeling. You won't be disappointed in the quality, price, scheduling, reliablity, and attention to customer satisfaction.
I cannot wait to begin our next project (master bathroom..yay!!), for which we will most certainly use AMS. I have referred them to two neighbors who fell in love with our "new house", and witnessed the ease with which it was done.

"I used Ruxton Design and Build to remodel my condo kitchen and breakfast nook. During the initial appointment I went over what I was looking to have done and the possible color schemes that I wanted to include. The design was very nice and there even included a bench seating area made out of cabinets for my breakfast nook. It was a great utilization of space. I picked out my cabinets and most of my selections from the showroom, including my backsplash tile, flooring, handles, and knobs. It made things very easy. The team was very easy to work with and answered all my questions. I was able to get everything I wanted within my budget. I would highly recommend Ruxton Design and Build and plan to use them again for my bathroom remodels."

He gave a detailed account to Katherine, the Designer. Her design gave me everything I needed- plenty of storage in the kitchen. My budget was small, but they stayed on budget and provided quality and stylish materials-kitchen cabinets, backsplash, countertops, sink & flooring. Bathroom tub, tile surround, flooring and accessories. Grober, Johnny and the tile guy are master craftsmen. They did an excellent job, meeting every repair challenge and putting up with me. I am very happy with this company. Hope to work with them again."
