"Great experience. Communication was very quick, clear, and responsive. The work was done on time exactly as agreed upon and the end product looks and works great. Price came in under quote. We wanted to get our fireplace made functional and safe and Smalling provided an economical and minimally invasive way to do this. Another company we spoke with wanted to basically demolish the inside of our chimney and the flue, expand the opening, haul all the debris out through the house, re brick the fire box, and rebuild the top part of our chimney while installing a damper. We did not want to go this far as this method would have been too expensive, invasive, and dirty. Smalling offered another way to accomplish the same goal. They sprayed a ceramic liner into our flue to seal it and heat-proof it, re tuck-pointed our fire box, installed a top-mounted damper and control chain and replaced our rusty chimney cap. This only took one day versus the other method which would have taken three, and it cost half as much as the more invasive method. We are very happy with this more modern and creative approach to our flue/fireplace restoration and we have been enjoying fires in our house for the first time since we bought it."

"In the fall of 2015, we needed our roof replaced due to hail damage. Ian Smith provided a quote, and came out when the insurance adjuster was there. Ian was very upfront that they wouldn't be able to start very quickly, since they were booked. In the meantime, some "boots" on the roof began to leak, and they came out and patched those. The roof took quite awhile to replace, as they had to strip two layers of shingles. There were very thorough and did a beautiful job. We haven't found any debris in the yard or bushes, and they cleaned everything up thoroughly.
In February, 2016, we wanted to have our ceilings redone. Earlier owners of the house had done a "do-it-yourself" texture on the ceilings, and we needed old and unused vents closed up and drywalled. They said it would probably be a few weeks until they could get to us, but two days later, they were able to start. They did a beautiful job. You can't even see where they patched in. They also cleaned the walls and fixtures really well, and didn't track drywall dust all over the house. Again, when they left, you wouldn't have known they were ever there.
We will be hiring Moore Construction for any future jobs we have.

"The quality of the work was well done.  Greg and Adam are very responsive.  Adam does excellent work, and very fast once he had all the cabinets, etc.  The thing folks need to know is that it takes a very long time to get cabinets custom ordered and to get granite selected and cut.  Make sure you build this in.  Overall I think this project took too long to complete (over two months), but the overall final product was really great.

"The gentlemen that showed up through a Big Deal gave me an estimate, then went to the store to purchase the cedar.  They purchased some of the wrong sizes, but went back on their own time and purchased the correct size.  The job entailed more than we originally thought due to some rotting that was underneath the deck.  They replaced the wood, cleaned up their space well and left it in good shape.

"Art called the morning of the appointment to let me know he was on his way and he arrived promptly. He began to work immediately. Art asked what area I had heard scratching and made certain he treated near that spot. Both my attic and crawl space were treated. When Art had completed the treatment, I asked about the chipmunks and showed him the trap I had bought, but the chipmunk was able to escape. Art had some traps with him to show me the size needed for chipmunks. I did buy a used trap from Art, to see if I could remove a chipmunk or 2 before spring. This company was very courteous and answered all my questions during my original phone call. Art was prompt, began working immediately, answered all my questions on site and sold me the correct trap needed to assist me in ridding my yard of chipmunks. I am very happy with the service I received."
