"<p>We experienced a clog in the pipes leading from our kitchen sink on Thanksgiving and we were unable to unclog it ourselves.  Several hours later we noticed a small leak from one of the pipes.  We called S&S Plumbing that night and after determining that as long as there was no water in the sink, the leak would stop, S&S Plumbing said they would be out the next morning by 10 am.  They called before coming and arrived early.  It was quickly discovered that there were several issues going on, least of which was the clog.  At one point, we had four people working on the issue, all at the same hourly quote.  They provided us with a solution that was both cost effective and did not require major work or time.  We could not recommend them more strongly.</p> <br />"

"He called me on the morning of my appointment, and confirmed his arrival time. He showed up on time and appeared very professional. He listened to the problems i had in the past with excessive water bills and willing to look at all of the paperwork relating to the problem. He asked some questions and then began the inspection of the meter, pipes, toilets, etc. He ran some tests and confirmed that there was not a water leak on my property or in my home. He answered all of my questions and was very knowledgeable. He ended up charging me  less than i had expected and wrote me a detailed receipt. Then a few days later i recieved an official invoice  (marked paid) detailing the services that were performed, just as promised. I highly recommend him and will refer him to family and friends for any plumbing issues. <br />"

"This contractor is very trustworthy and efficient. He came in and did the work. He had a key to the house. He came in and moved what he needed to and then replaced the furniture that was there back where it was and he cleaned up after. We were very pleased with his work.  With the window job he told us it would take about three days unless it rained. He came in stuck to the job and had the job done in two days. We were so satisfied with his work we hired him to replace the front porch and have already gotten an estimate to do the siding work done on the house. His recommendations for the places we used for the windows and the siding were excellent. I of course got estimates from several places and spoke with other customers that had used the company that made the windows and liked what I heard. I would definitely reccommend Mr Lance to anyone."

FAQs for gas piping projects in Masontown, WV

Plumbers with proper licensing and credentials install and relocate gas lines. When hiring a professional, verify they have experience with gas systems and all required certifications. Some homeowners choose to work with plumbers specializing in natural gas installations, as they have extensive experience with similar projects and understand the safety requirements.

The timeline for gas line relocation varies based on project complexity, permit processing, and inspection scheduling. The physical labor takes a few hours to one day, depending on the line length. However, the actual installation work represents only part of the overall project timeline. Your contractor should provide a specific timeframe based on your circumstances and local permitting requirements.

Your gas supply must be shut off during the relocation process. This safety measure prevents gas leaks while connections are being modified. Plan for this temporary service interruption by making alternative arrangements for cooking, heating, or other gas-dependent systems in your home. The shut-off generally only lasts for a portion of the work, often a few hours.

Relocating gas lines to connect new appliances is a common reason for this type of project. Whether you're installing a gas stove, fireplace, dryer, or outdoor grill, a professional can determine the best route for extending your existing gas system. The cost will depend on the distance between your current gas line and the new appliance location.

Gas line work is not suitable for DIY projects. Natural gas is highly flammable and potentially lethal if not handled correctly. Gas leaks can be difficult to detect without specialized equipment. Professional plumbers have the proper training, tools, and experience to safely relocate gas lines while ensuring compliance with local building codes and safety standards.
