"Everything went well from start to finish.  Shawn and his team are great to work with. They are all very professional, punctual,  do great work, and some of the nicest people to do our home repairs.  One deck board was defective and they replaced it in a timely manner. <br /> Our new deck looks so nice and we are very pleased with the whole process. <br />"

"Tom Edge and his team are outstanding. They did a fabulous job remodeling our kitchen. Our 34-year old cabinets look much better than when they were originally installed. Electrician, plumber, painters, and related subcontractors work as a seamless team. Communication was excellent and everyone was easy to work with. They take pride in their work. Unlike some contractors who tell you what they can't do, TDE accomplishes what the customer wants if it is at all obtainable. Highly recommended-would rate them the best in my 43 years of home ownership in different locales."

"We had a hole in our ceiling from a plumbing leak. I called them because of the good reviews I read online and was not disappointed! Joel Henderson came out within a day or two to give us an estimate and was very clear that it would take a couple weeks to get out to do the work, which was fine. They were actually able to reschedule for a few days earlier than planned. The repair looks great! Not only did they replace the drywall and paint, but they textured it to look like the rest of the ceiling that has a 70's/80's kind of texture and it looks perfect. They matched the pattern so well that it's hard to imagine there was ever a hole. Great work, very professional, and such a relief to have that hole patched. 100% recommend!"

"My wife and I bought a house in Athens in 2012. We hired a variety of contractors from the area to help with the remodeling of our home. Time and time again I was met with high prices and low quality work. I had a front door installation that was installed with 10 different sized screws. I had an outer wall repaired with masonite that was sold to me as "a high quality construction material." which quickly disintegrated leaving my home exposed to the elements. The contractor even told me not to worry about a rotting section of the house's frame that I expressed concern over. I felt like My wife and I were being taken advantage of at every turn and the work being done never seemed to be done right. We hired Jimmy Parr (Son of a Plumber) to install new ceiling fans and lights throughout the house. Jimmy did excellent work and so we hired him to fix the outer wall of our home that had been so badly handled by the previous contractor. Jimmy gave us a surprisingly fair price and ended up discovering more damage to the frame of our house than we had ever imagined. Jimmy repaired the bottom plate of the frame and replaced it with a 16' pressure treated 2x4 which he nailed to the concrete foundation. The end result was that I could feel the difference in the structural integrity of the upstairs of our home. I really can't thank Jimmy enough for going above and beyond what he had originally set out to do, but most of all for being honest with us about the problems that the previous contractor had ignored. Since then we have hired Jimmy for countless small jobs. He always comes through with integrity and skill (unlike other contractors that I've hired). I would recommend Jimmy for any job around the house."

"He was very nice, but he was just overpriced for me. He was expensive. They could lower their prices. I would tell a family member that they were high. I would probably not use them again because I am almost finished."

"Joshua was the first service to answer the phone when I called, and he was extremely polite, even when I called back nearly immediately to reschedule the removal. <br /> He was punctual, polite, professional, and knowledgeable, as well as concerned for safety in the home during and after the removal. <br /> He answered ALL of my questions (and there were many, because I was curious), and he took great care to do the job well. <br />"

FAQs for major home repair (general contractor) projects in Maxeys, GA

In many cases, it’s much less expensive to convert a bus than to buy an RV, especially if you’re considering a newer RV model, which can exceed $100,000.

Another huge benefit of school bus conversion is that you are in control of the renovation project. You get to pick your camper's new layout and all the appliances and furniture.

While school buses can easily cost $300,000 when they're new, you can often find used buses for just a few thousand dollars. These vehicles experience extreme depreciation due to government regulations; they can only be used for so long before they must be replaced. Due to those same regulations, other government agencies cannot purchase them for their own uses, so the consumer market is the only place they can go.

The length of time it takes to convert a bus depends on the scope of the project (and size of the bus), how much work is DIY vs. done by a professional contractor, and how much work you’re doing up front.

In general, expect at least a couple of months for a conversion, but larger conversions could take six months to a year. Remember: You can tackle projects as you go: Get the basic work done so that it’s livable, and then continue to enhance your living space over time.
