"The entire process was very professional and stress free. The technicians, Ivan and Jake, were knowledgeable, friendly and professional. The area where the repair was done is all rock with a river rock stream running through it. When they were done it looked like not a rock was ever moved. Excellent job. I recommend Hawthorne Plumbing to all."

PONDS PROFESSIONAL PAUL DES ROCHES

"I could not be happier with the work Paul did for me.  I called him after my green, murky pond water seemed to be going down rather rapidly.  He called me back the next day and set up an appointment.  He came to my home to see the pond and listened to my concerns and said that yes, my pond water was in bad shape. I told him that I just wanted my peaceful Koi pond back so I can enjoy it rather than stress out every time I looked at it.  We spoke at length about a new filtration system and getting my pond back to a healthy environment for my Koi. He is very knowledgeable about pond building, pumps, quality of water and fish.  We made an appointment for him to come back and clean the pond,  find the leak and install a new filtration system. He removed all of my Koi and safely placed them in a holding tank while ensuring the water stayed cool and aerated.  He then power washed my liner and installed the new filtration system which entailed removing an area of my pond which was made of cinderblock and very large boulders.  He works extremely hard and is meticulous.  You don't see him just hanging out there - he literally worked 13 hours straight.  He cleaned everything up when he was finished and replaced all of the boulders and rock that he had to move.  Oddly enough, my pond isn't leaking anymore!  We never found a hole in the liner so my only thought is the 'pond gods' thought my pond needed some TLC and Paul was the TLC they needed. I absolutely love my clean, clear pond and the Koi are swimming around in total bliss.  He gave me back my little piece of paradise and I am so grateful for that.   <br> <br>Paul takes his time, thinks things through and does an expert job.  I trust him so much that I asked to be on his pond maintenance route.  One thing that spoke volumes to me about him was that he cared about the fish. He cares that they are in a healthy environment.  He's trustworthy, honest and keeps his word - attributes that are hard to come by in Las Vegas. I highly recommend him to anyone with a Koi pond. "

"when tech showed up the dryer seemed to be working and heating however it did not when I called, seemed the heating element was cracked creating and off and on working condition. I went ahead to repair the problem by purchasing a new heating element. I was surprised however that the tech expected me to pay in full before he ordered the part and repaired the problem, but I did using my credit card knowing if there was a issue the credit card co. would have my back, The part was order and Alex fixed it as soon as it came in and was great"

"<p>We got a phone call from the water company saying they were seeing excessive water movement at our second house; it just happened to be for sale! We rushed over and saw what looked like a small amount of water in the front yard. Of course next comes the inevitable calls for quotes; to add insult to injury this was on a Sat! Most companies said they couldn't come out until the next Monday, Paul said he could stop by in less than a couple hours. He gave us a quote and explained the main water line to the house was leaking; the yard was going to be dug up to some degree so the pipe could be replaced. We called around again and got some revised estimate but again most companies wouldn't be out until Mon or Tues. </p> <p>I found Pauls' estimate to be very reasonable and he said he could start right away and be done by Monday. </p> <p>He replaced the existing leaking water main and returned the yard to order.</p> <p>We found him to be very punctual and detail oriented. </p> <p>I will use him in the future in my home and in my business.</p> <p>Very nice guy which is a plus!</p> <br />"

"I looked under the sink in our seldom-used guest bathroom and found that the handle for the cold water shut-off valve had corroded and fallen off.  It wasn't leaking, but I didn't want to leave it that way.  After reading reviews on Angie's List, I called Las Vegas Plumbing, Inc.  I called before 8:00 am and reached their answering service.  The woman took down my information and told me someone would return my call after the office opened at 8:00.  I got a call back at about 8:20, and I explained the work I needed done.  She said someone could come that morning, and she would call me within two hours to let me know when he on the way.  I got a call at about 9:30, and Sean got to my house at around 10:00. <br /> He removed his shoes each time he entered the house, which was nice.  He looked at the broken valve and asked if I wanted both the hot and cold water valves replaced (I did) and recommended replacing the plastic supply lines with metal ones (I agreed).  He got right to work and was finished in well under an hour.  He was personable and worked quickly and efficiently, and the repair was done flawlessly.  I love the new shut-off valves -- rather than the kind with the handles that you have to turn several rotations in order to turn the water off or on, these have a little lever that you only have to rotate about 1/4 turn. <br /> I will definitely call Las Vegas Plumbing, Inc. the next time I need any plumbing work done. <br />"

FAQs for sump pump repair or replace projects in Mccarran-airport, NV

Sump pumps last about 10 years with proper maintenance and prompt repairs. Several factors can influence your sump pump’s lifespan, such as usage, environmental conditions, and installation. Premium sump pumps with heavy-duty motors and quality components tend to last longer than lower-cost models. Pedestal sump pumps usually last longer than submersible models since they’re not constantly exposed to water.

A basement French drain is a drainage system installed in basements or around a building’s foundation to redirect water and prevent flooding. This system features a trench with a perforated pipe that catches and transports water away. These systems can crack, freeze, or clog, potentially resulting in flooding or strain on your sump pump.

You can use a sump pump in your yard to minimize pooling water and landscape damage, but it’s best used in conjunction with other drainage systems. This can include French drains, trench drains, underground downspouts, and other equipment. Proper lawn care, such as soil aeration and native plants, also aids with drainage.
