"I have had numerous people and companies out over the years for various projects but CustomHome Medic was without a doubt the best company Iâ ve worked with. First Russ came and assessed the problems . I had years of water damage under the kitchen sink and was now affecting the floor. They replaced the floor and even attended to other issues such as a water line that other companies had merely zip tied. They were very precise and attentive to every detail. They also adapted to changes in the original work order. Replacing a threshold, adding a deadbolt and moving my ceiling light-Twice ! They replaced all the doors upstairs with regular, bi-fold and sliding glass. This was a repair from a previous botched job, but Larry and Chris made sure they fit perfectly. They really have a lot of pride in their work and it shows. The final project was a tearing out and replacing a shower. Russ provided me with 3 price points to help save money and a tons of options. It is absolutely Stunning. !! I just love how beautiful it is. When I selected tile we found out it had been discontinued and Russ went above and beyond to find some just like it. Larry made sure that the giant hole in my family room from the shower water damaged was repaired to look like nothing ever happened. Larry and Chris are very skilled and great to work with. The owner Adam was onsite frequently and actually did my shower because the guys were busy with another job and he didnâ t want me to have to wait a week until they finished. Really so so glad I called them. Told my daughter about them and she is having all new flooring and kitchen remodeling done. Everyone did their absolute best to make this a well-done and stress-free experience. I Other estimates were thousands more and included work that Russ told me most likely did t need to be done. Honest and reassuring. Also had Larry and Chris remove and replace all the upstairs doors and install new glass sliders, bi- fold and regular doors that instantly updated the look in all the rooms. Again, work was started on time, completed when promised and done the right way. Unlike the previous workers I had hired. The final Project was the most involved. Tearing out and replacing the upstairs shower. Russ gave me estimates with 3 different price points to help me save money. Again, even the highest one was less than 2 other well-known restoration companies quoted me. There was such a wide selection of materials"

"Nick contacted me in the morning to give me his ETA for a comprehensive $99 tune-up special appointment. From the moment he arrived he was personable, professional, clearly very knowledgable and very experienced. While starting the tune-up he quickly discovered that some of the issues which I thought would simply benefit from a little tightening, roller replacements and lubrication —- were actually signs of a potentially hazardous electrical failure of the motor — and that the springs already were well beyond functional life/strength. (Both of which were very old)

He answered every question I had, and clearly showed me and provided demonstrations of what was of concern. However he never once pressured me to make a decision to do any extra work. He simply reviewed options for repairs if I decided to do those, and then also replacement costs, timing options for each, with a range of prices depending on my needs/budget/desire. 

I felt like I was taking to my brother or a best friend. But I still took time to research the issues presented and the options — and ultimately had Nick replace motor, belt and springs through Precision Door Service. He didn’t rush, and tested everything. PDS will tell you themselves that they are not the cheapest provider — nor are they trying to fill that niche. Instead after thorough review of what they could provide, it was clear that they provided the greatest value for the dollar. Nick, and his employer ( Joel Belyew) who I also spoke with, and was very impressed with, provided me with: a Quality product; Experienced Installation; Fantastic warranty; and the most stress-free service & non-pushy sale purchase decisions I have ever made in the last 50 years. "Beware of High Prices and Company Changes – Not the Hamilton Garage Doors of the Past! I recently reached out to what I thought was Hamilton Garage Doors, a company I had a fantastic experience with a few years ago, only to discover they’ve been acquired by A1 Garage Door Service in 2023 and are now operating under the name Don’s Garage Doors. Unfortunately, this change in ownership came with some surprising new practices and much higher prices. Based on Hamilton’s past five-star reputation on Angie’s List, I expected fair pricing and quality service. Don's Garage Door's quote was over ten times what I paid Hamilton for similar services in 2016. They also pushed a monthly membership, which was another unexpected change. Any five-star reviews for Hamilton Garage Doors before February 2023 should not be confused with Don’s Garage Doors, as they’re essentially different companies now. I recommend getting multiple quotes before agreeing to any repairs to ensure you’re not overpaying."
