"Before hiring LevelLift, I contacted a friend of mine who owns a Structural Engineering firm, but only work commercial not residential.  So after receiving at least (5) estimates, we agreed that LevelLift was the company to hire.    <br /> Met with Paul Mauer of Levelift Systems, he was very nice, patient and professional along with his team.  Received a proposal for the work noted below: <br /> The work in the basement  included but not limited too grout beneath concrete, excavate & installed timber walls, <br /> raise window well & installed standard home-improvement store grade cover, raise grade, furnished & installed discharge pipes for down spouts, installed seven steel beams, new interior drainage, repaired damaged mortar joints, installed 12" high cast-in-place concrete curb between steel beams and they took care of all the Montgomery County permits and inspections.  In addition, mobilization, site preparation and  furnished & installed discharge pipe for sump pump. <br /> In addition, Paul recommended a very good Structural Engineer to take care of the structural drawings. <br /> The contract payment terms were broken down into four payments with the option of using major credit cards and we have a ten (10) year warranty. <br /> Paul and his team were very responsive, punctual, and professional and the quality of the work was excellent.  We have not had any problems in the basement since 2013.  They are highly recommended. "We've been working with Affordable for a couple of years now. To put it lightly, we have the basement from ****. When they arrived, we had some water in the basement and they quoted us based on their normal pricing. Once the concrete came up, we couldn't believe what we were dealing with. It's a constant flow of water that required two sump pits and an insane amount of work to install our drainage system. Every time they tried to dig a pit it would backfill with sand and water- they had to dig this up painstakingly- foot by foot. We thought for sure we were in for additional costs, but they stuck by the original estimate. Since then, any time we've had an issue or a question, they are quick to answer. Poor Kelly and Bobby probably recognize our number on the caller ID but whenever we make a call or send an email, we always get a response- usually with a visit on the same day. We highly recommend this company for their honesty, customer service, and quality work."

"Initial project: Grade B.  Overall went well.  Only reason for a B is that they noted that they were going to put a trench around my laundry sink as a means to prevent damage if it overflowed.  But when they came back to do the job it wasn't done.  Overall I haven't had a drop of water since the install so that is very good.  The rep was Adam. <br /> - !!!! UPDATE 20131125: Spoke to Jeff Johnson GM, he noted that this wouldn't have been an option in the first place as it could pose a local issue (gray water pumped outside the home. <br /> <br />  Warranty: Grade A. Adam (rep) noted to me that no matter where (not through windows or above obviously) water came in (walls or floor) that the warranty would cover it.  Well you don't get the warranty until after the job... and guess what?  Water up from the floors isn't covered.  Not cool. <br /> - !!!! UPDATE 20121125: Spoke to Jeff Johnson GM, he noted that this condition is covered.  My mistake. Grade changed to A. <br /> <br /> Basement windows: Grade F.  Called them and had them out to estimate putting in a basement egress as well as the other basement windows.  The rep (Brett) came out, measured, etc.  Then nothing.  I called.  I called.  The customer service team told me on numerous occasions that the "president of the company" was going to call.  He never did.  Eventually, a sub or partner of theirs called me and provided me a quote over the phone (for the egress - the didn't do the other windows).  The quote was blind and didn't take into consideration any of the data that Brett collected during his visit.  This ordeal was a TOTAL waste of my time. <br /> - !!!! UPDATE 20131125: Spoke to Jeff Johnson GM, he noted that this rep is no longer with them and that he should have provided an immediate quote for the windows.  The only time the sub should have called is for the egress...  <br /> <br /> Customer service: Grade C.  They provided a mold remediation treatment as part of the basement water proofing.  One of my walls not is showing signs of something.  So I called.  Nothing.  No call back.  Nothing. <br /> I regret going with this company.  I should have bit the bullet and spent the extra $$ to go with their competition. <br /> - !!!! UPDATE 20131125: Spoke to Jeff Johnson GM.  He will be out in 2 days to treat the location and noted he will install a hose into my dehumidifier so that it drains into the system.  <br /> - !!!! UPDATE 20131127: Jeff was out, assessed the situation and provided a clear path to resolution.  I have homework but his team will be out to solve the problem. <br /> - !!!! "We bought a building that was going to be demolished in the Page extension/ Hwy 364 route.  We owned property adjacent to the building and had Expert House Movers move the structure approximately 1000 foot across a roadway and onto a new foundation.  I was amazed that they were able to do it without any of the brick fascade cracking/crumbling.  Before the building was lifted and moved, we inspected the interior of the building and took a black marker to areas of interior drywall cracking. After having them lift and move the building, there were no new cracks and the existing cracks were unchanged.  I couldn't believe it.  I would highly recommend them.  It's unbelievable to see the buildings and structures they have moved. <br />"

"Craig was the second contractor out of three to come to conduct a free inspection of my basement. I contacted his company for services after  I noticed water coming through holes in the cinder blocks of my basement unfinished wall created by the prior owner having a closet system installed in this area. What attracted me to his company Initially was the personable service portrayed by his website and with speaking with him. I had already pressumed that the sump pump didn't work correctly and the basement needed to be sealed properly due to me noticing a lot of insects and snake skin in this area. Of course I learned it was worse than I thought. The difference with this company service compared to the other compainies that I had come to conduct an inspection was very noticeable. When Craig came  to my home he asked me questions to get a perspective of what issues I was really dealing with. Being that I had only been the owner of my home for a year I could only suspect what the issues were. Yet, Craig immediately took a look at the sump pump and showed me that it was definietly not properly working. He also observed all four walls and the current water drain system in place and explain how it was doing nothing for releasing the water pressure in the walls. (The first contractor I had didn't touch a thing!) Craig also listened to my concerns of the house potentially not being properly sealed and advised that he should conduct a inspection of exterior as well. Craig was the only contractor that took the information I provided and showed me how the water tracks on the wall displayed that as I suspected, the exterior was not properly sealed and was allowing water to flow over the wall and not just the holes in the motor joints of the wall. I was told adamantly by first contractor that my issue would be resolved by installing the water drain system to the interior of the house only. But as Craig showed during the performance of the work, my floor board to the basement had rotted away and created a hole to allow water (and the snake) directly into the unfinished basement area. I am greatly satisfied with work performed by Craig and his crew. Since the work has been performed I have not seen a trickle of water in my basement! Additionally, I have to say it was great to have familiar face appear with the crew, in that Craig (whom is also the owner) was in attendance of the work being performed and supervised the entire process. I admit that this display of work ethic reaffirmed to me that the job was being done right! I believe that I was given a fair price for the work and got even more. I was quoted at a $1000.00 more with the first contractor and that was just for the interior drain system on the front wall! I am certain that I went with the right company and that my water issues have certainly been solved. Thanks Craig to you and your crew; and a wonderful job well done! <br />"

"I had a 50-year-old house with a cinderblock basement wall that had water slowly coming through. I researched the various firms that did waterproofing and had three highly rated firms come out for an estimate. The first contractor didn’t even bring a flashlight and just looked around and said to keep an eye on it. The second gentlemen did provide detailed estimate and carefully explained the problem. Randy, the owner, from Chamberlin Washington provided a similar diagnosis and estimate. His estimate was not only a little less expensive but he looked at the entire house and found other things that could use some maintenance. This is what I liked about Randy – he looked at the whole house and discovered several smaller things that should be fixed to avoid issues down the road. These were all things I knew about already but I’m glad someone took the time to examine the entire house and not just the one issue I was having. We had then not only waterproof the outside wall but also fill the expansion joints in our patio and seal one basement window as well as re-point some mortar joints in the brink chimney. When the crew came they went to work. They also did an admirable job protecting our plants. An old section of of a 6' high stockade fence had to be removed and I bough a new section and the crew was happy to put that up. When they water tested the wall they found a small leak. They re-did the sealant and that did the trick. Randy came out and supervised critical parts of the job. He was great to work with and happily fixed a few small things at the end. Randy really cares about doing the job right. I am 100% pleased with the work they did. I watched over much of the repair and everything was done correct and by the book. Overall I can't say enough about how pleased I was with Chamberlin-Washington and their work. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone."
