"DBC Remodeling and Construction remodeled our kitchen last summer. We have a wonderful contractor that we normally use, so we were a bit concerned about trying a new contractor. We've all heard the horror stories. I checked out DBC on Angie's list and found nothing but good reviews. We were still a bit nervous about using a new contractor but after meeting with Doug, we felt better. Their crew was on time every single day and worked efficiently. They were extremely polite and tried to make the days of construction as easy on us as possible. They cleaned up every day and even took the time to load up all of the cardboard from the cabinets and took it to be recycled. After construction was finished there were a few things that needed to be tweaked and they came right out and corrected the problems. They even noticed a couple of things that we didn't even see and corrected those as well. I would recommend DBC to anybody that wants quality workmanship and quality workers. I know we will call them again. Awesome company!"

"Price is an A I collected three quotes for this project and they were by far the best quote we got. They even helped us out so we could get the complete system with the Durawall Panels. Quality is a B mostly because the concrete that is on top of the drainage system is extremely thin. I can knock on it and hear plastic so that makes me nervous that if anything bigger than a quarter hits it, that it is going to break. Responsiveness is an A we were able to get a hold of them any time we needed and they were very flexible with their scheduling to come out and give us an estimate as well as to get our project done. Punctuality got a N/A as I do not live at the home so I cannot comment on the punctuality of the workers. Professionalism is a B The two individuals I spoke with were very professional and easy to talk to. They were very good about keeping us up to date on when they were going to start and they kept to their projected timeline as well. However, They had a mishap on our job and had I not noticed something had changed I am not sure they would have said anything. A couple of complaint I do have about the project are as follows: Clean up was not as good as I hoped. On some of the Durawall Panels there is mud part way up the wall. The floor was not swept very good after project completion. I was told I did not have to take my outlets off the walls before work started, but they did take them off and did not put them back on after they were done. But all of that is minor because as long as my basement is dry like they claim it will be I am more than happy."

"The workers came in the house, introduced themselves and went down in the basement to start working. Mr. Klein came in, didn't introduce himself until he came upstairs after speaking with his workers. My daughter felt she was not treated as the home owner and was slightly upset. <br /> The work started and finished when the technicians said it would. <br /> The basement floor was filthy, they didn't clean up very well after themselves. <br />"

"My husband and I purchased our future retirement home in Erie while we lived in Raleigh. We met with several contractors, however, we felt very comfortable with Skip based on the reviews. We had to choose someone whom we trusted to complete the remodel while we were in North Carolina. We met several times with him and Christine to plan the job then we went back to Raleigh. While we were away, the job was completed. It was a huge leap of faith to give our trust to Skip and his team to create our dream home. After several months and Facetime calls, the remodel was completed on schedule for Christmas!! He even had a pizza and drinks waiting for us when we arrived and the bed was made for us!! We could not be more pleased! His experienced team solved many problems of an older home with exceptional craftsmanship. It was his idea to paint the kitchen cabinets since they were only a few years old which saved us several thousand dollars. He had many suggestions while they were working on the job that prove his attention to detail is impressive. We will use him for our future bathroom remodels. Skip and his team are exceptional."

"It was excellent.  It was not their fault but I cancelled the factory because two of them were broken so I had to wave them off and I got one that was shipped in and when the work was done it was excellent.  That is why I had to call them back because they have a guarantee on their products and my sliding glass door, the rubber around it is loose and air is coming through.  They came back to make sure everything was done right.  The cost was through my home owners.    <br /> <br /> Their price was equal to the quality."

"I called Brent because of the large number of positive reviews on Angie's List. He is very busy and a little difficult to get ahold of. We discussed the project and waited for an estimate. He is a veteran and current Reservist and explained he had to serve his month's active duty so would be unable to get to us for a couple of months. Although the price seemed high the quality of material and labor was exceptional. They were on time, professional and cleaned up. The job took 2 1/2 days. <br />"
