"The crew was awesome. Angel was on site early and kept everyone on task. They cleaned up their work area daily (even sweeping away any fallen debris). I opted for text messaging and was kept up to date with reports on progress. The project finished on time as scheduled and our neighbors are envious."

"Chris provided a timely written estimate for replacing all household windows with Milgard vinyl windows. Additionally, he provided a full explanation of how they remove old windows and install replacements, including replacement of all trim, inside and outside calking once windows are installed, and follow-up service if a problem occurs. He was very professional, and the only contractor who provided a written estimate with precise details of what we were ordering. Additionally, he was the only contractor who even mentioned a rebate from the Energy Trust of Oregon, a sizable rebate that brought the total price down considerably. The installation went very smoothly and on schedule, and the result is beautiful vinyl windows that will definitely save energy costs for years to come. <br />"

"We began the process calling contractors and no one had time or would return our call. I called Forrest Construction and spoke with Lindsey the Owner and explained our situation with our bathroom and floors. When others had no time Linsdey made to come over that day and look at the bathroom to see what was needed. Due to damaged walls, sub flooring and showers walls/tile that water had got in behind a full gut and remodel was needed. Impressed with his communication, price to do the remodel and make it 100% better than what we had there was no need to look any further. Less than 24 hrs later Forrest Construction was at our home and completing repairs in record time and honestly exceeding our expectations on the entire process. He completed the job sonner then promised and left us with our dream bathroom my entire family is thrilled with. We were so impressed with the service we received we had Forrest Construction add new vinyl windows to our entire home and also a new sliding back porch vinyl glass sliding door with all new trim inside and out making our home look even better and save us a ton of money with heating our home now having better and modern windows. I can't wait to have them back and can't recommend them enough to others that may be in the same position looking to have any home repairs done affordably ad with someone you can trust! Thank you again Forrest Construction!"

"Brad Youngs experience and ethics, mirrored in his employees, was a huge asset on such a major undertaking as installing Jeld Wen windows and doors in our 82 year old farm house. Brad was straight forward and easy to work with. He addressed our many questions and discussed ideas until we were comfortable with our decisions. His competent crew was punctual, conscientious and courteous. When people are in your living space for four to five weeks, these attributes are very important. They did their best to make this experience as painless as possible. All work was done to our satisfaction and his crew showed a willingness to patiently address any concerns that arose. In doing our research before making the decision to hire Brad, a few professional sources stated that they’d not heard of an unhappy customer of Brad’s. That he was a perfectionist and he made sure each job was done to his customers satisfaction. It was also said that he may cost a bit more, but he was definitely worth it. In comparing bids, we do not feel we paid more for his expertise. In the end, we most likely saved money and saved ourselves from potential frustrations, which is invaluable. We will hire Brad Youngs Construction to assist us with future remodel projects."

"<p>Had a hard time getting hold of the person who does the quotes. Missed calls/phone messages/sometimes his phone mail box was full so I couldn't even leave a message.</p> <p>Once we talked, he was very understanding about what I needed done and that I was on a strict budget. He came out and looked at the crawl space and told me what he thought they could do within my budget. Once I agreed, they scheduled the work for just 2 days later. There was a crew of 3 that did everything on the scheduled work in just a few hours. They had the person who originally looked at it come and inspect what they had done. </p> <p>He also showed me other work that was needed, so I know to plan for getting that done.</p> <br />"

"As I was living in my home at the time, I was concerned about how I could continue to function with the work being done. From the 1st day, he was right on time, set up his saws etc in my garage and worked the entire day. He is meticulous (which I admire) and very professional. I have numerous rounded wall corners in my home and Robert used specific rounded base board pieces for those. In each bathroom, it was not feasible to use the rounded corners and he squared those and you cannot tell that they were once rounded. He also had to notch around the cable wires that came up through the floor. Notches were made to fit - not too big, not too small. Each evening he thoroughly cleaned up any sawdust and scraps and left my home and garage very livable. Additionally, I have a little dog who is not comfortable with loud noise. Robert was very kind to him and considered him whenever making noise or bringing equipment into the house. His fee was very, very reasonable compared to others and the quality of work he did. I would highly recommend Robert Johnson for any carpentry/contractor work. 5-Star rating. S. Miller - Talent, OR."

FAQs for new windows service projects in Medford, OR

Yes, bay windows add value to a home. They enhance the property by expanding the interior space and flooding rooms with natural light. Their unique three-panel design creates a stunning focal point that elevates curb appeal and modernizes living areas. This architectural detail increases both functional space and visual appeal, directly contributing to higher home resale value.

Yes, all window types have the potential to become part of a bay window configuration when modified correctly. The transformation involves reconfiguring standard windows into a multi-panel design that features a larger central window flanked by smaller ones. This process requires precise professional planning and custom framing to ensure durability, visual balance, and structural integrity.

Bay windows typically consist of three glass panels extending beyond the home's exterior walls, with a larger center panel flanked by two smaller ones. In contrast, bow windows are composed of four to six equally sized glass panels that create a gentle curve and do not extend as far from the exterior walls.

Bay windows cost more than standard windows because their expansive, multi-panel design requires additional materials and skilled labor. Their construction involves extra glass, specialized frame components that extend outward, and complex operating mechanisms. These technical demands necessitate precise engineering and multiple expert installations, thereby significantly increasing both material and labor expenses.

Bay windows cost three times more than standard double-hung windows because their design requires extra panels, expanded framing, and a more complex installation process. The advanced construction method increases material consumption and demands comprehensive expertise, while specialized window treatments further elevate expenses. This all results in a significant difference in overall project cost.
