"I have worked with Mike’s Powerhouse Crew for 4 years on various renovations of my Cape Cod cottage. We started with new stairs to the basement, then new stairs to access the second floor, with space created downstairs for a washer/dryer. After that, a conversion of the attic into a loft bedroom, with an office and full bath plus three 5 new windows. The layout is fantastic. And they did a kitchen renovation that required moving a wall over about 5 feet to create a really nice eating nook. Lots of cabinetry was redone around a new stove and microwave, and lots more. Every one of these jobs benefited from the clever way that Mike and his team designed the renovations to make them work really well, when everyone else thought they would be impossible. The attention to detail and the finishing touches were really great, too. No problem when I asked for something more—they added it to the list and charged me for the extra work at the rate we agreed to. The costs always seemed like a bargain. "Celso came and gave me an estimate right away.  I chose him over the competition because his price included spray painting the whole kitchen (which has white cabinetry) which was high on my list of priorities.  He and his crew worked for two plus weeks getting the job done.  We had every room and baseboard painted in the house as well as a screen porch floor and railings and a basement playroom (including a blackboard wall for the kids).  Celso kept me updated on everything, helped with paint colors and was professional and very nice.  I am having him come back in the spring to paint our exterior.  He has continued to check in with me on some touch-ups I need done after having the floors recently refinished.  I would definitely recommend him!

"We hired Bert and Fay in December to renovate our second floor. The second floor was only one large unfinished room with one lightbulb hanging from ceiling that was used as storage space. Bert and Fay took it upon themselves to speak to our neighbors to find the best options for renovations that would save space and suit our needs. They began the work by removing a small closet on the first floor and installing a staircase leading to the second floor. They separated the space upstairs into 2 rooms and a bathroom also constructing closets in each of the rooms. They installed multiple electrical outlets and switches plus ceiling fans in each of the rooms. This project also included installation of ceilings and walls with new insulation throughout and the installation of the flooring in the bathroom. They cut out a 4 x 8 window that overlooks the living room. They were extremely helpful in recommending color schemes for the 2 rooms and the bathroom. They fixed the walls downstairs where the closet had been removed and they also fixed where the pull down stairs had been for the attic. It is also important to note that they did considerable free work by removing and transporting many items that had been stored in the attic to the town dump. In summary, Bert and Fay demonstrated excellent home improvement, construction skills to include expertise in planning of the needed repairs, choice of needed materials and the high degree of actual performance. Their additional knowledge of related activities, ie..electrical and heating issues, insulation requirements and many other related tasks, makes them an excellent resource in the area of housing construction and renovation."
