"We called Murf to fix my daughter's dryer. She was nervous about having someone come to her house that she didn't know so I was there when he came. Murf was great. He was very professional and friendly. We both felt comfortable having him in the house. He fixed the dryer and the cost was less than I thought it would be. A few months later she needed his services again. He was there on time and fixed the washer, again at what she thought was a very fair cost. We would both recommend him for any appliance repair you need."

"Doug was very responsive and took the time to explain any potential things that could hold up the project or make it more complicated prior to starting. He even finished one project a day earlier than anticipated! I'll definitely use him again for any future handyman projects."

"Great response, very knowledgeable - even the company who installed my legacy 26 yr old system didn't know where the filters went (A1 Heating) yet the tech at Tully's knew exactly where. Very professional presentation and speedy install. I didn't get another quote as I was so impressed with them. Even if they are more expensive it's worth dealing with a quality company who knows what they are doing."

FAQs for appliance (major electric appliance) installation and replacement projects in Meridian, ID

A pro starts by setting the units in place and connecting them to the right plumbing lines, electrical circuits, and, for the dryer, a vent. If the hookups already exist, the job is quick. When they don’t, the installer must add plumbing, outlets, or a vent run, which takes more time and increases the price, especially when the laundry area is located far from existing utilities.

You’ll need the right pros for a tight stacked setup. A natural-gas plumber handles the water lines, drain, and any gas work, while an electrician installs the circuit the dryer needs. If venting or framing changes are required, hire a general contractor to patch the drywall or adjust the framing so that everything meets code and operates safely.

Permanent models need complete plumbing, electrical, and—for dryers—vent hookups. Portable units skip most of that and can run on a standard outlet with a temporary water connection. If your home already has a code-approved hookup, you just connect the new appliances. If not, hire a licensed pro to add the lines and vent so the machines run safely and efficiently.

Relocating a hookup costs between $500 and $5,000, as it may involve installing new outlets, gas lines, vents, and drain pipes. The price increases when the new location is far from existing utilities or requires additional framing and drywall work. Have licensed professionals evaluate your layout, provide a quote for the move, and handle the installation so that every component meets code and works safely.
