"Outstanding! Our roof was in need of repair and the stress and worrying about it quickly diminished as soon as Jacob and his crew showed up at our home. The professionalism, knowledge and great attitude of everyone there to work really put our mind at ease. Any question we had about the process was answered thoroughly and with patience. The crew was very punctual, organized and professional. Qualities that are hard to find now a day. All of our expectations on our roof repair were overwhelmingly exceeded. Our family highly recommends Vista Del Sol Construction for any construction project your home may need! Knowing that there are still honest & hardworking people out there makes being a home owner that much easier. We will call Vista Del Sol again with any future home projects."

"On the roof, Paul patched cracks around vents and a skylight then added a strip of waterproofing in low spots that collect water after a rain.  I don't climb so I could not see the outcome of that work, however it was done quickly. <br /> The yard work was more visible. We needed to clean up some xeriscape that was in place when we bought the house.  It was 3-7 foot wide bands of 3-6 inch stone that trapped dirt, leafs, and trash.  The size of the rock made it difficult to remove the trapped stuff.  Paul removed the large rock, hauled it away, and replaced it with smaller stone.  He and his helpers did a nice job, the new rock looks good..  They were conscientious and cleaned up after the work.  Paul works hard and quickly, as did his help on those occasions when he needed help.  They accomplished rock removal in a much shorter time than I thought it would take and replaced it equally quickly.  Removal and replacement were done by hand, they did not use motorized equipment.   <br /> We have irregular flagstones on a path of fines under a couple of canales.  During a rain the water falling out of the canales washed the fines out of the spaces between the stones.  Paul filled in the missing fines and put concrete grout between the stones. The grout is smooth and neat with no concrete left of the stones or nearby wall. <br /> Paul works for cash.  I bought the materials and paid him for labor.  He did not request an advance before he started and I paid him after he finished each part of the work (roof, rock, and grout).  I cannot say whether or not his price was high or low, but the amount of effort that went into the project made it seem reasonable. <br /> They came when they said they would. Finally, they were prompt.  I was surprised to come home at lunch the day after the small rock for the backyard had been delivered and discover that the back yard was finished (and the driveway where the rock was dumped by the materials company had been swept and was clean). <br />"

FAQs for major home repair (general contractor) projects in Mesilla, NM

In many cases, it’s much less expensive to convert a bus than to buy an RV, especially if you’re considering a newer RV model, which can exceed $100,000.

Another huge benefit of school bus conversion is that you are in control of the renovation project. You get to pick your camper's new layout and all the appliances and furniture.

While school buses can easily cost $300,000 when they're new, you can often find used buses for just a few thousand dollars. These vehicles experience extreme depreciation due to government regulations; they can only be used for so long before they must be replaced. Due to those same regulations, other government agencies cannot purchase them for their own uses, so the consumer market is the only place they can go.

The length of time it takes to convert a bus depends on the scope of the project (and size of the bus), how much work is DIY vs. done by a professional contractor, and how much work you’re doing up front.

In general, expect at least a couple of months for a conversion, but larger conversions could take six months to a year. Remember: You can tackle projects as you go: Get the basic work done so that it’s livable, and then continue to enhance your living space over time.
