"Our experience with Logan Services was very disappointing. I told Andy (the Logan salesperson) in person and in writing that we would like to keep our analog thermostat, instead of getting a new, smart thermostat (we already have a smart thermostat for an existing system, and we prefer the analog functionality). He said of course. On installation day, the installer informed me that the new system required a smart thermostat. So we had to accept a new, smart thermostat. The detailed quote Andy provided for the replacement of our A/C and heating units included a manufacturer rebate and tax credit that would be refunded to us after the installation. The system we selected would be eligible for a $1400 rebate and a $1200 tax credit on our 2024 return. Three days after our installation, the Logan office called to follow up on the new system. I asked at that time how I could claim the manufacturer's rebate, because there wasn't a form or application in any of the paperwork I received. I was told that Logan would apply for the rebate and I should receive it in 6-8 weeks. It is now more than 8 weeks later, and I have not received anything from Trane. Now Logan claims that the rebate must have already been applied to the cost of our system. This is not true. The price Logan quoted remained the same from the original quote to the final invoice, and it did not include a deduction for a rebate. I do not recommend doing business with Logan."
Logan A/C & Heat Services offered value, competitive pricing, top of the line Trane equipment, nice financing options that other companies did not offer. Dan was my sales rep that offered the above services. Bobby was the installer & was professional & did a great job. Install was scheduled on a Monday after I committed on a Friday; so very quick! "Our furnace was having issues, they came out same day and fixed it!!! It was getting quite cold since its about 15° outside. The gentleman came out, was very professional and very thorough. He fixed the issue quite quickly and when he was done, the rate he asked for was much less than I anticipated paying plus he gave us a 30 day guarantee! We will definitely come back if we should have any other issues!!"

"1. Terry Ritchie installed a $13,200 roof on a property that my wife and I were closing on in early May 2020. He was recommended to the sellers by their realtor, who will no longer be referring business his way. During a bathroom remodel in Oct 2020, less than 6 months following this roofing installation, our contractors found a series of leaks in the attic from just atrocious worksmanship errors. See pictures below. Terry and his unqualified team came out 2 days after being contacted about the leak and slapped on what can only be considered a bandaid to cover up a systemic issue of lack of attention to detail or professional roofing skill and knowledge of building code. 2. We had an actually competent roofing company come out who then provided an inspection of the roof and they found a laundry list of items not done to code that resulted in the failure of the roof within 6 months and would continue to cause failure issues with the roof. These items included a complete lack of installation of: pipe boot flashings, step flashings, base flashings, drip edge, gutter apron, or ice guard. The man glued shingles on my house like a kindergartener glues macaroni art and called it a roof. 3. When contacted about these issues and asked to refund $1,675, a fraction of the price paid to him for the project, in order for the other company to fix all of their unprofessional work, Terry's response was "well I don't do those things" and then a complete lack of response to help work with us. His warranty means nothing. This guy does not value his business, he does not stand by his work, and you should not let this man or his people anywhere near your house. Your money, time, and trust is better spent literally anywhere else. What Terry Ritchie fails to grasp is that quality of work and professional respect for his customer's satisfaction is the entirety of his future business. Don't let this man do any work for you. He simply does not know what he is doing and does not give a ****."

FAQs for central a/c service or repair projects in Miamitown, OH

A condenser fan motor is a crucial part of your air conditioner that prevents the compressor from overheating. It pulls heat from your AC unit to cool the refrigerant moving through the condenser coils. This allows your system to blow cool air and keeps everything running smoothly.

The most common causes of AC fan motor failure include loss of lubricant in the system due to overheating and a rusted or leaking run capacitor. Poor lubrication can also cause failure in the belt drive, which may impact the AC fan motor. Weather and electrical components can also affect your AC. For example, a storm could send water into your motor windings and damage the internal components.

Air conditioner fan motors last about 12 years on average, though they can last longer if maintained well. This includes keeping them clean and cooled as needed with annual air conditioner checkups. Routine maintenance is essential to catch AC fan issues early. An HVAC inspection can cost between $70 and $500, while AC cleaning services may range from $100 to $400.

A broken AC fan motor may need replacement because this part usually can’t be repaired. Several things indicate it’s time to replace your AC fan motor, including buzzing noises, a constantly running fan, unusually high energy bills, or an aging system. If you notice these signs, call an HVAC pro for help before the faulty motor starts to strain other parts of the AC system.

There are clear warning signs of a bad AC fan motor, including unusual interruptions in the fan operation. The motor might be malfunctioning if you hear weird noises like grinding or rattling or if the fan continues to spin when the unit is off. These indicators compromise your AC’s cooling performance and increase your energy costs. Addressing these issues immediately by contacting a trusted HVAC professional prevents further damage and safeguards your HVAC's efficiency.

Replacing your AC fan motor takes a professional one to four hours. The technician will start by assessing your system and safely removing the damaged motor. If a new part needs to be ordered, it might take a few days. Once the part is available, your pro will install it properly and make sure your system is running smoothly.
