Five years since, I could not be happier. They gave the option of spray foam insulation around the window casings to help with drafts from original construction. What a difference. Not at all pushy and not the cheapest but boy was it worth it."

"Hiring Performance Home Improvement has been an absolute dream experience and I am SO glad that I ended up using them. Though they were not my 1st choice, they were certainly the best and SO wish I had started with them! Let me explain… I have two homes that needed roofs, gutters and other items replaced/fixed after a recent hail storm. I figured it would be easy to get a contractor to work with me but to my surprise, it was not. I spent weeks dealing with contractors only to end up having to start all over each time. I could go into the frustrating details but to summarize, one took weeks to get back to me with messed up proposals, one never got back to me with a proposal, and one I had received a proposal from and agreed to use, never responded to my emails/calls to do the work! And ALL of them asked for the insurance claims to be able to quote me a price. Seriously? Not having luck with other means, I decided to give Angies List a go. I made a short list of 3 local contractors and Performance Home Improvement was the 1st I called. The owner Ed Brown showed up when scheduled, took his time going over the two houses in detail, explained my options, and sat down with me then and there to draw up a proposal. Because of my prior experience, I had concerns trusting but decided to sign and use them. I cannot emphasize enough how glad I am that I did! Work was done when scheduled, completed on time, and done with care and quality results. He was quick to respond to questions, always communicating what was happening when, and then confirming what was supposed to happen did. I was amazed at how fast the roofing crew worked! So many houses around me took days and these were each done well within a day. Ed personally handles the gutter / downspout work and when I asked why, he told me crews are paid by the foot and tend to rush the jobs which do not reflect the quality he demands. Though I was already feeling good about my decision, that sealed it for me. =) I hope I never need roof replacement again but should I, Performance Home Improvement will be my contractor without hesitation!"

"Absolutely perfect. The crew was friendly and professional, and thorough! This is the 5th time we've used Dr. Glass in two different homes. Each time they did a superb job. They even wiped the shutters on the front of the house. The windows sparkle and all corners are free of swipes/dust. Plus, they did the whole house in ~1.5hrs. "In December of 2009 Mr. Edward Dunn, the president of American Windows & Siding of VA, Inc. installed 18 Sunrise replacement windows and 2 Sunrise replacement sliding glass doors with lifetime warranties and a 10 year labor warranty. Additionally I had him reside my house. In January 2017 I noticed that the caulk was pulling away from the windows and there was some minor water stains by one of the sliding glass doors. I contacted Ed and sent him pictures of the windows. He promptly arranged to come out and look a the windows and doors. He took one look and immediately agreed to do what ever was necessary to fix the issues. While he was there I also showed him some siding discoloration by the front door and he immediately agreed to have it fixed. For the next nine months he worked around my schedule to get his people out to fix the problems. On the 23rd of May his crew showed up to replace the damaged siding. They were extremely professional. They not only replaced the small area of discolored siding, they walked around the house and repaired everything else they could find that needed to be fixed (loose nails, a new shutter, missing hole plugs, etc.). Then in October of 2017, this crew came in and removed all the caulk on the windows and doors and re-caulked, and he replaced the sill-plate of one of the sliding glass windows and installed a custom drain pan to ensure there would be no more water seepage under the door. All of this with no muss or fuss. I cannot say enough about the professionalism of the people at American Windows & Siding of VA, Inc.. Mr. Dunn is a man of honor who stands by his word and I would not hesitate to recommend him or his company!"
