"The crew did an excellent job installing high quality NT Windows. They redid siding around front windows and we're very professional, all debris was hauled away and I'm very happy with their work."

"‼️Please save yourself from a disastrous experience! DO NOT EVER LET THESE PEOPLE TOUCH YOUR CAR‼️ Told me my suv was ready after installing sunroof glass and when we got there to pick up our SUV, the headliner was mangled, stretched, torn and hanging all down. Light was dangling from roof and hanging down! Said oh well we’ll work on it tomorrow after we drove 40 minutes across town to get our suv. Next day sent pics before I would go get our car and now I see it’s glued up, discolored and stretched out terribly! We refused to take it that way and they told us they’re not going to fix it. It’s your problem‼️ So then working through my insurance company and finally getting a supervisor to look at pictures and discuss issues with me they paid for a whole new liner since it was mangled by these gorillas! 3 WEEKS LATER WE FINALLY GET OUR SUV BACK FROM A JOB THAT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE ONE DAY TURN AROUND‼️ NEVER EVER TAKE YOUR VEHICLE TO THIS HORRIBLE PLACE ‼️‼️"

"I contacted KJ&M Glass Work to discuss replacing a bedroom window. The contact was made after hours and I received a response immediately. The quote was made after looking at the job. I am happy to report that the window glass was replaced and I’m definitely pleased with the work. Thanks Miguel for an excellent job. I will recommend this company without hesitation."

"When it gets colder than 48 degrees, I feel a steady cold breeze coming from the gap in the windows by the tilt latch. The owner came out and said that he couldn’t feel anything. His lead installer said that he could feel a little. When I put a Thermopen thermometer next window lock, the temperature stays constant, which means there is no convection effect. When I put the thermometer next to the gap, the temperature drops at least 12 degrees. I referred BTH to my neighbors, who have the same windows and the same draft. The Alside Mezzo single / double hung windows are NOT efficient. My gas bill was astronomical. Now I’m stuck with inferior windows that I’ll have to replace. Save your money and go with a better brand!"

"Can't say enough good things about Pro1 Windows & Doors! The process was excellent from start to finish. Dan came out to provide an estimate, was straight forward (not too sales-y) and confident in his product. They were very competitively priced and after doing some research on their window product and comparing Pro1 against other quotes I received (4 total), it was a no-brainer. They under promised and over delivered in every way. I was told it would take 4-6 weeks to get the windows, they were here in 2.5. I was told scheduling installation could take some time, I was on the schedule the following week. I was told installation would take the better half of a day, they were done in 3 hours. Installation day was seamless. They over communicated about their arrival time and were respectful towards my house and furniture, making sure that things were carefully moved away as needed and covered. The windows look excellent and I am thrilled with the update to curb appeal of my home!"

"I need to honest in giving my opinion. If I had it to do over again, I would not. They look good as ascetically, but so far have not had the efficiency I was told they would have. My kWt usage has not gone down, and if I turn thermostat up, it reaches higher temp quickly. Beyond disappointed. The installation team was fantastic, but were given a window that had bad glass and needed replacing. Took a long time to actually getting it replaced. Prior to getting on the schedule for it, a manager set an appointment to come look, as there was several windows that had overflow on the glass from manufacturing. Installer told me it all needed to be removed by hand with razor blades, but I'd need to call service. Also told me that the caulking on the Andersen sliding door I had installed weeks prior needed to be redone or I'd have problems. The service manager that was to come look at all this, but missed the appointment. I phoned and he agreed to come the next day on a Sunday. Reviewed it all and said he'd get it scheduled. Many, many days went by and I reached out to him having never heard from anyone. Never did, as he didn't even have the courtesy to ever call. The replacement window installer finally came, but said they didn't have time to do all that other and would have the main manager phone me. Again, not even the courtesy of a call and had to start all over with service. Set new appointment and they came. I had been told by main installer, as well as the replacement installer, that it was a full day job and why neither had time to do such. But, these guys were gone in under an hour and left them so dirty, with serious smudges & fingerprints all over them. In addition, I had phoned my salesman asking him to please come show me best way to monitor temperature, as I'd purchased a thermal gun to do so. He said he'd get out, by that's been weeks and I've yet to hear from him. I wish I'd not spent the $136,727 on them and done something different. Don't see how I'll ever get my money out of them now."

"Sunsmart windows has extremely bad customer service. I replaced 31 windows in my home and they are all identical except one. They won’t help me fix it because they say I approved the quote and I should have caught it that it would be built differently. They are the professionals and should have told me it would be different. I asked the owner before I signed the quote if everything was the same as I already had and he said yes. When I pointed out that one is different I was told that it couldn’t be built the same because it’s a quarter inch smaller. Then I was told it could be built if I agreed to pay half. I told them no, it wasn’t my mistake. Now I’m trying to find out if the windows are star energy rated and they won’t help me. They said I have my paperwork and I can figure it out from that. They are extremely rude and very difficult to get a hold of The Company has not tried to help me as they say they have. I did not changed my mind. The reason that they give people the option to read the agreement before they do it is just to save themselves and when I asked about the information about the energy star program they did not give it to me and i need to find it myself. I am not difficult to please at all everyone who needs windows installed were expected to be the same. I've tried so many ways to work it out with them. I'm just not willing to pay additional money for their mistakes on putting in a wrong window they gave me a very inflated price for the replacement and i have a lot of proof on proving that so they are not trying to work with me but to get more money out of me."

FAQs for new windows service projects in Midlothian, TX

Yes, bay windows add value to a home. They enhance the property by expanding the interior space and flooding rooms with natural light. Their unique three-panel design creates a stunning focal point that elevates curb appeal and modernizes living areas. This architectural detail increases both functional space and visual appeal, directly contributing to higher home resale value.

Yes, all window types have the potential to become part of a bay window configuration when modified correctly. The transformation involves reconfiguring standard windows into a multi-panel design that features a larger central window flanked by smaller ones. This process requires precise professional planning and custom framing to ensure durability, visual balance, and structural integrity.

Bay windows typically consist of three glass panels extending beyond the home's exterior walls, with a larger center panel flanked by two smaller ones. In contrast, bow windows are composed of four to six equally sized glass panels that create a gentle curve and do not extend as far from the exterior walls.

Bay windows cost more than standard windows because their expansive, multi-panel design requires additional materials and skilled labor. Their construction involves extra glass, specialized frame components that extend outward, and complex operating mechanisms. These technical demands necessitate precise engineering and multiple expert installations, thereby significantly increasing both material and labor expenses.

Bay windows cost three times more than standard double-hung windows because their design requires extra panels, expanded framing, and a more complex installation process. The advanced construction method increases material consumption and demands comprehensive expertise, while specialized window treatments further elevate expenses. This all results in a significant difference in overall project cost.
