"Tony, Cody and Simon were awesome! They were on time, efficient, neat and very respectful of our home while completing this job. A wall had to be removed, plumbing moved which involved jack hammering into the cement foundation, moving and rewiring the room to accommodate washer, dryer and sink, sheet rock work to repair remaining walls, and finishing up with an awesome paint job and beautiful woodwork and tile floor. This company is worth every dime we spent, and we would be more than happy to have them back should we ever need work done in our home again. They were not the lowest estimate we received, nor were they the highest. The fact that they came when promised, finished when promised and left my house clean and a new room ready to use made them the smartest estimate of the 4 estimates we procured for the job. They were the most honest about the scope of the work that would have to be done, and there were no surprises. Our biggest thanks goes to Tony, who managed the job and did most of the work himself. We are thrilled with the result!"

"John Horton and his crew are far and away the best craftsmen and contractors I have worked with.  They're honest, punctual, and the quality of their work is superior to any other contractor I've worked with.  I've contracted them for several projects recently, including repairing severe termite damage.  Where another local contractor told me repairing the damage would take 2 weeks, John had it completed in about 2 days, and that was after I continued to expand the original scope of the project.  I was so pleased with their work I had them back to modify and update my front porch and dormers (in addition to a bunch of other work I kept adding on).  The bottom line is that John Horton is quite possibly the only contractor in Savannah that will actually show up when he says he will and the quality of his work is second to none.  <br />"

"Justin and his crew were a joy to work with. They ripped out an old sunken spa tub and built an oversized shower in its place. Work is impeccable and there was nothing left to clean up when they left. Crew was always on time, polite and checked with me on every detail that needed to be tweaked. Would definitely recommend for any home renovation work that you need done !"

"All said and done, I have a feeling Mr. Hudson underestimated the amount of work involved with painting the exterior. We were hoping for a more thorough prep job, but we trusted his judgment. Our home has a Great room in the back of the building which added a significant amount of paint and time to the cost. The old paint on the house was very "thirsty" and required more than one coat in many areas. There were a few rotted boards that required replacing, which he did a fine job except for one small area on the trim surrounding a sliding glass door. In his defense, that particular aspect was not part of the original estimate, however he agreed to fix it if we paid the full balance in advance. We agreed to do just that, and that is when William began dragging his feet and showed up less and less. I completely understand that his enthusiasm had run out for this job as it had taken much longer than I would ever have thought. He eventually stopped showing up, leaving his ladder for a few weeks. My wife and I ended up doing the touchup work, and truth be told, the loud colors we chose were a terrible eyesore for the neighborhood, therefore I personally went ahead and repainted the entire front and side of the house! Not Mr. Hudson's fault by any means, however the rotted section around the sliding door trim remains unfixed. I would suggest to Mr. Hudson that in the future he should not hesitate to discuss price adjustments with his customers rather than feel stuck with his original estimate. Had he asked, I am certain we could have worked things out financially. Leaving the job site before completion is not the way to go about it. Perhaps Mr. Hudson might look back on this and chalk it up to experience. Same goes for me. Personally, I still like the guy very much...just needs more time to build a stronger work ethic. <br />"

"During a previous visit to my home to remove a yellow jacket hive, Joshua had also determined that there was a honeybee hive in an interior wall of my home. I scheduled a subsequent appointment with him to remove the bees and hive. Using a heat-sensing device and a stethoscope, he was able to determine the precise location of the hive. He removed a section of the drywall where the hive was located and removed the bees with a vacuum with an associated container. Joshua is also a bee keeper so he transfers all honeybees that he removes to one of his hives. <br /> After he removed the bees, he then carefully and completely removed the hive and the honey. He then filled in the space with insulation to decrease the possibility of any future bee hives. Joshua has construction experience so when he has to open a wall to remove a hive, he replaces the drywall and applies the first layer of mud. That leaves any additional layers of mud, sanding, and repainting for the customer. After the drywall and first layer of mud were in place, Joshua then went outside to seal the gap where the bees had originally entered the wall to ensure that no bees could re-enter in the future. <br /> Joshua is very good at what he does and very knowledgeable. He is very thorough and leaves the area completely clean. I highly recommend him for anyone who needs to have bees, yellow jackets, hornets, or wasps removed from their home. <br />"

FAQs for major home repair (general contractor) projects in Midway, GA

In many cases, it’s much less expensive to convert a bus than to buy an RV, especially if you’re considering a newer RV model, which can exceed $100,000.

Another huge benefit of school bus conversion is that you are in control of the renovation project. You get to pick your camper's new layout and all the appliances and furniture.

While school buses can easily cost $300,000 when they're new, you can often find used buses for just a few thousand dollars. These vehicles experience extreme depreciation due to government regulations; they can only be used for so long before they must be replaced. Due to those same regulations, other government agencies cannot purchase them for their own uses, so the consumer market is the only place they can go.

The length of time it takes to convert a bus depends on the scope of the project (and size of the bus), how much work is DIY vs. done by a professional contractor, and how much work you’re doing up front.

In general, expect at least a couple of months for a conversion, but larger conversions could take six months to a year. Remember: You can tackle projects as you go: Get the basic work done so that it’s livable, and then continue to enhance your living space over time.
