"Workers did a wonderful job, and very professional. They were very careful with the stove removal and very clean. Very happy with both the inside and outside wall repair. I would use your services again."

"I could not be more pleased with a company than this one. We had a huge project with a major remodel, taking the house down to the studs, removing walls, adding new Sheetrock and floors, gutting the kitchen and two bathrooms, replacing the roof, and etc. These guys did amazing work!! I recommend them highly. "

"Completely satisfied throughout the process of choosing a contractor and having them replace old shingles. Brian returned my call promptly, met me when he said he would, started and finished the job on time, while keeping me updated daily on the progress, and did quality work.
"

"After having some other work done, we realized that the back deck supports had rotted out and needed immediate attention. The front porch also needed some attention in the near future. I had spoken with Troy Pearl on a prior occasion about potential work that needed to be done and we were planning some other home improvements using Pearl Contractors.
When the more urgent issues arose, I contacted Pearl contractors first to see what was possible. They were so prompt in their response, so professional, and so well-organized that the work started in about a week, went smoothly and quickly, and turned out very well.
They were responsive to all concerns we had along the way, and addressed problems that were not immediately apparent before the work started, billing us on a time-and-materials basis rather than via contract. We are pleased with the work that has been done and we would use them again. They get high marks and we would recommend them to others.
"

"Although the project turned out to be more complicated and took longer than expected, this had little to do with
the builder or his sub-contractors. Primarily the delays were due to weather, financing issues, and poor
communications on the part of the town's code enforcement officer.
Let me address this last issue first. Everything seemed to be alright until the pad was poured. The code
enforcement officer was upset that she was not notified prior to the pouring of the cement so she could inspect
the forms and re-bar. This and quot;misunderstandingand quot; occurred because the CEO never communicated to either myself or the
contractor at what points during the project she wanted to perform inspections. However, from this point forward
the CEO seemed to question every aspect of the project. Demonstrating considerable restraint and diplomacy, most
of the time the contractor bowed to her demands (he was much , but drew the line at her trying to force him to
install a water shutoff valve in a location that would likely have caused our well pump to burn out. In this
case Greg Bragg stood his ground, backing it up with State of Maine statutes.
With respect to the weather, June 2013 was one of the wettest on record for Maine. As far as financing, the
magnitude and cost of the project exceeded what we had budgeted and we found out just how difficult it is to
secure financing for rental property, especially if you are setting up a used mobile home. Consequently, we had
to break the project into two phases.
The demolition of the old house and initial site preparation went very smoothly as can be seen in this 8 minute
YouTube video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CWaJEgV2iJE).
Getting the mobile home onto the pad was a bit more interesting since the ground was still very muddy from all
the rain we received in June and July. Fortunately, Greg Bragg of Bragg Builders had the foresight to keep a
bulldozer onsite. As can be seen in this 8 minute YouTube video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ioZ1IFl-3CQ),
the bulldozer was absolutely essential.
The only other issue related to Bragg Builders portion of the project was a ruptured water line. Prior to
constructing the gravel pad a brand new water line was installed and was even packed in sand to ensure rocks
would not rupture the line. Unfortunately, a rupture occurred anyway. Fortunately, the contractor promptly
installed a new water line, at no charge to us.
"

"Absolutely wonderful. Scott and his crew arrived promptly, removed the old shingles, replaced new shingles and cleaned all the debris. "We have a 150 year old two story cape house which has lots of character, but also is a real challenge to work in, as nothing is plumb nor level, and previous owners had done some some very odd things. We had problems with a leaky toilet on the second floor over the kitchen, which had been repaired by a plumber but left the kitchen with a large hole in the ceiling, and some damaged bathroom floor supports from the moisture. The corner double sink had a previous garbage disposal, long since replaced because the bottom rusted out and leaked, and the cabinet floor under that sink had a huge sag in the middle. The lovely old maple floor in the kitchen had a sagging area on the end by the sink and was pretty springy there, because in the past someone had cut away the floor under the sink, to put in a heating duct for a furnace (now long ago defunct.) The corner of the laundry room, which had at some point been added on to the original house and has corners supported by cinderblocks, had a corner away from the house sagging because the blocks had sunk into the dirt. Those were our original tasks to be done. When Tim came to estimate those, he looked at the big brush pile our tenants had left in the driveway in front of the barn, and the rusted things behind the barn, and said, and quot;I can do those too, you know.and quot; So we immediately added them to the list.
Tim was always courteous, prompt in his work, and did an excellent job in a very reasonable timeframe. We were delighted with all he did, and definitely will use his services again for anything else that comes up with this house in the future.
"

FAQs for major home repair (general contractor) projects in Milbridge, ME

In many cases, it’s much less expensive to convert a bus than to buy an RV, especially if you’re considering a newer RV model, which can exceed $100,000.

Another huge benefit of school bus conversion is that you are in control of the renovation project. You get to pick your camper's new layout and all the appliances and furniture.

While school buses can easily cost $300,000 when they're new, you can often find used buses for just a few thousand dollars. These vehicles experience extreme depreciation due to government regulations; they can only be used for so long before they must be replaced. Due to those same regulations, other government agencies cannot purchase them for their own uses, so the consumer market is the only place they can go.

The length of time it takes to convert a bus depends on the scope of the project (and size of the bus), how much work is DIY vs. done by a professional contractor, and how much work you’re doing up front.

In general, expect at least a couple of months for a conversion, but larger conversions could take six months to a year. Remember: You can tackle projects as you go: Get the basic work done so that it’s livable, and then continue to enhance your living space over time.
