"The Admiralty chimney crew arrived a little early for the appointment (which was fine). Both gentlemen were wearing masks, as was I - an important detail in the current environment. They did an inspection of the flue and then after covering the area around the fireplace with a tarp, they brought in their equipment and began the cleaning process. Within a short time, they were done, removed their equipment, and we settled up the bill. Overall, the process was punctual, professional and efficient. This was not the first time I've used the Admiralty service and it will definitely not be the last."

"I had stainless steel chimney liners put in two properties I own, and one of them also needed to have the chimney rebuilt from the roof up. One of the liners in particular was very difficult because there were 2 gas boilers and 2 gas hot water heaters exhausting up the chimney, with low head height in the basement and a small flue. They had to custom make connectors to get everything to fit, but they ended up getting it done! I found pricing to be reasonable, I received another quote as well and went with Metrowest because they seemed very knowledgeable and the pricing was competitive."

"Installation went fine until I noticed several weeks later that it was harder to keep house warm and there was significant draft by the woodstove insert. I went outside and looked at the chimney cap installed by Kevin Fredrickson and noticed it was off center of the chimney and the base of the cap was only covering 2/3rds of the opening and no insulation was placed around the liner so heat was funneling right up the chimney and outside.  I contacted Kevin and he responded within a few days and agreed to take a look.  When he arrived he didn't have the tools or ability to fix the cap due to snow so he stuffed insulation around the chimney liner from inside the house to keep the drafts down and stated he would be back in spring to fix the cap.  As of June 1, 2015 he hadn't contacted me or arrived to fix the cap so I tried to contact Kevin Fredrickson but got no response.  As of 10/9/2015  (the date of this review) Kevin had not contacted me or made any attempts to properly attach the chimney cap installed by Integrity Chimney Services LLC. <br /> <br /> On Friday October 16, 2015 Kevin stopped by and properly attached chimney cap to chimney and corrected the issue."

John diagnosed the problem with the chimney flue (a former contractor who re-pointed the bricks dropped concrete into the flue, essentially cutting off all air) and made all the repairs. "I contacted Mr. Gaffney so he could work up a quote to address a leak coming down the side of my chimney into (and through) the attic. He came prepared to do so, but found that my roof was too steep for him to handle with his equipment. Here's the thing: He would have realized this within seconds of arriving at my property. Even given that, he stayed a full hour and provided observations and advice on other aspects of my chimney, woodstove and furnace. He could have simply said "sorry, I'm not equipped for this" and left (which would have been fine and understandable) or tried to sell me unrelated or ineffective services. I had done some safety repairs to my dryer ductwork; This is an area he does, he could have looked at it and said "Ooo, this isn't good, you should do X-Y-Z instead". Rather, he said, "yeah, I may have done this differently, but what you've done here is good". I REALLY appreciated his candor and honesty, as well as the time he spent to point out various aspects of the home (I've just purchased it, so he highlighted some things I hadn't noticed). He does do some minor chimney repair, but his big focus appears to be on chimney and window cleaning, as well as interior painting. If/when we need those services, we will reach out to him. Honestly, the time I spent fighting with tin snips and rigid dryer duct I would have happily paid him to do, if I had met him before I spent a half day in the basement."

"Scheduling an appointment was a very frustrating endeavor. First, I tried to schedule using their online appointment request form, but never heard back. A week later, I called (and like every other time I called) had to leave a voicemail message asking for a call back that day or I would be taking my business everywhere. I got a call back about an hour later from an annoyed woman who complained that she was too overworked and that's why nobody was getting back to me. I was then able to schedule an appointment for about 7 weeks out to have my pellet stove cleaned. The day prior to the cleaning a work conflict came up and there was a chance I needed to reschedule the appointment. I called and left a voicemail explaining that I needed to know how long the appointment would take and that if it took longer than 1.5 hours I would need to reschedule. I received no call back. I called the next day (the day of the appointment) first thing in the morning, and had to leave another message stating the same thing. I STILL never received a call back. The stove technician (Noah) called to let us know he was on his way that afternoon and was able to finish the cleaning on time. The stove was cleaned adequately and he was both pleasant and respectful. Bottom line: Good luck scheduling an appointment or communicating with this business on your own time table - there is just no way to get in touch with anyone until they choose to call you back. That being said, one they arrived they were able to do the job adequately without further issue."

"They came in and check, they recommended to replace the tubes, so they installed a new cap & chimney lining, chimney, the whole chimney unit was replaced, then they came a year after to check on the chimney that they did and replace. Good job, good helpers, the work was fine."

"He took pictures of both pipes and showed us the cracking around the base of the pipe. It was nice to see it on his phone. The previous person who supposedly fixed it did not do it correctly. After giving us a price he went out and got the parts and repaired it the same day. He also showed us pictures of the repair. Very polite. We would definitely call them again."
