"We have once again reached out to Joe Kim at J & K Home Improvements when we had a new project planned. We were completely satisfied when we replaced our siding and roof with Joe. Now Joe and his professional crew have replaced all our windows . There are never surprises or additions from when the job is quoted. Once again we are totally satisfied and delighted with their work!! It has been a stress free experience each and every time."

"I would highly recommend National Energy Contractors for their outstanding work on our new sunroom. After discovering their booth at the Naperville Rib Fest last year, we sought quotes from multiple companies. Although National Energy Contractors were not the cheapest option, they provided undeniable evidence of their exceptional craftsmanship. Dealing with contractors can be intimidating, as not all of them follow through on their promises. However, Peter Gatsch, the owner of Nat'l Energy, alleviated our concerns by sharing numerous favorable reviews from satisfied customers. Throughout the entire process, Peter maintained constant communication with us, starting from the moment we signed the contract. The project involved multiple stages, from securing permits to laying the foundation, building the room, and adding the final touches like siding. Each crew of workers demonstrated professionalism and pleasantness. Their work ethic displayed expertise in their respective specialties, and it was evident they were passionate about their craft. Although we encountered a few delays, the end result was well worth the wait. The sunroom is of the highest quality and solidly constructed. In hindsight, I would not have chosen a different builder, even if they had promised a quicker completion time. I am extremely satisfied with the final product, and I trust National Energy Contractors to deliver exceptional workmanship. In conclusion, National Energy Contractors surpassed our expectations by creating the most beautiful addition to our house. Their dedication, professionalism, and commitment to quality are unmatched. I highly recommend their services for any construction project."

"It took Nick less than 15 minutes to diagnose and explain the problem. He took pictures that I can use to prove to my roofing company that they messed up, all while explaining everything that was going on. Everyone I spoke with was polite, and Mr. Handyman was able to get Nick out to me within 4 hours of my call."

"We received estimates from 3 different contractors for our soffit and fascia which was totally outdated. 1) Not only did Ryan Renovations offered the best estimate but also provided the best coverage for the entire project. 2) Ryan was very thorough and explained all the work needed as we went around the house while he was taking measurements. 3) The crew was very professional. They worked tirelessly in the cold February. They cleaned after each day that they finished. The workmanship was top notched. 4) A few weeks after the work was completed, we called for a minor issue that we noticed due to the weather conditions. Ryan responded immediately to my call. The crew came in and completed the work without even bothering us. 5) We were very pleased with the quality, professionalism and service that Ryan Renovations provided."

"Chris exceeded our expectations on multiple levels. I took me almost a year to find a contractor that I felt comfortable hiring. His quote was neatly laid out and broken down by plumbing, electrical, drywall, etc... His time estimate was very close to what was in the quote. We wanted to use our own painter and he found some unexpected problems with our basement which he was able to work around. We also changed the layout slightly during the project which he gladly modified. He clearly communicated when he would be at the house and returned our messages when we had concerns. On New Year's Day we had some pipes freeze due to poor work that was done by HVAC repair service that was unrelated to Chris. Chris stopped by, and temporarily fixed the problem and gave us suggestions on who to contact to apply a permanent fix. Things that exceeded our expectations: We asked for a utility sink in our laundry room and we were expecting a cheap plastic standalone sink. Chris suggested as reasonably priced alternative to drop a utility sink into some cabinetry. The modern banister he installed was much nicer then we envisioned. The built in custom entertainment center worked perfectly with what we were looking for. Even though I told him that I didn't need my unfinished shop to be insulated, he used the spare insulation in that area which was a great improvement. He cleaned up the support under our stairs to create extra storage for my lawn mowers or snow blower storage. This frees up space in my garage! I would consider him for future projects and to anyone looking to do a remodel. Note: The fireplace in the pictures was not worked on by Chris as we have hired another contractor for this job and it is not finished."

"I would like to update my review, after the experience I had with Trim a Seal I received a call from Zac. he was very helpful when I explained the situation and worked with me for the next couple of weeks to come into a conclusion that was satisfactory for both of us. Now I declined the service but they made sure I was fully refunded and he gave me his guarantee that when I choose to have the work done(I will call three people for a quote and told him after my experience with him I will choose Trim a Seal for a quote in the future) He assured me that he will work personally with me to make sure I am fully satisfied and I appreciate all that he did to assist me with this situation so I will be calling them again when I want another quote."

"I did a lot of homework before selecting a contractor to complete this job.  I got five quotes, checked references on line, and asked for referrals from the insulation company we used who are the ones who tore up our bathroom to begin with due to condensation as a result of poor insulation at the rim joists.  Ken was not the highest or the lowest quote I received.  However, he was the most consistent and responsive with the best reputation. <br /> Drywall Day:  Let me tell you - the insulation guys tore up my bathroom.  Their cuts were jagged, they had spray foam everywhere, they stapled plastic into every wall, and I felt terrible for the drywall people who had to put it back together.  Ken sent two men to repair the drywall.  They were quiet guys, but extremely respectful of my home and very professional.  They replaced over 50 square feet of drywall that was sloped up to a ten foot ceiling.  They even did some minor repair to the walls/window sill to prepare it for painting the following week.  Their taping and skill with replacing the drywall put me at ease immediately that I made the right decision in choosing Ken for this job.  These guys were really top notch. <br /> Painting Day:  Ken let me know ahead of time that drywall and painting would be about a week apart.  I was completely fine with this and I really appreciated him letting me know proactively about the scheduling.  His excellent communication allowed me to have reasonable expectations of what to expect for scheduling and timing of the job.  Painting went smoothly.  Ken is punctual, polite, funny, and most importantly - he is very skilled!  This is not exactly a tiny bathroom and it has a lot of obstacles like <br /> two large vanities, a shower, a jaccuzi tub, mirrors, etc.  He painted the ceilings in the bathroom, water closet, and hallway.  While the ceiling dried Ken prepped the walls.  Ken was a true professional working with speed, efficiency, and a great attention to detail.  The lines where the wall meet the ceiling were sharp and not wavy.  I really dislike when I walk into a room and look up and you can see where an unsteady hand made wavy paint lines into the white of the ceiling - Ken's lines were crisp and just as I would expect them to be when paying a professional to do the job.  Once the paint was up on the ceiling and walls it was also clear what an outstanding job the drywall guys did as well.  You could not see a drywall seam - it is flawless. <br /> I recommend Ken for any painting and drywall needs.  He himself is a true professional and obviously takes great pride in his work.  Based on my experience with his drywall team, he only hires the best to work alongside him.  I already requested to be added to his schedule to paint our nursery and put up a chair rail (preliminary quote is between $500-600 for that job INCLUDING paint and chair rail).  Ken also does remodeling - I really look forward to using him for several tile jobs, vanity replacements, back-splash, etc in the future. <br />"

FAQs for major home repair (general contractor) projects in Millbrook, IL

In many cases, it’s much less expensive to convert a bus than to buy an RV, especially if you’re considering a newer RV model, which can exceed $100,000.

Another huge benefit of school bus conversion is that you are in control of the renovation project. You get to pick your camper's new layout and all the appliances and furniture.

While school buses can easily cost $300,000 when they're new, you can often find used buses for just a few thousand dollars. These vehicles experience extreme depreciation due to government regulations; they can only be used for so long before they must be replaced. Due to those same regulations, other government agencies cannot purchase them for their own uses, so the consumer market is the only place they can go.

The length of time it takes to convert a bus depends on the scope of the project (and size of the bus), how much work is DIY vs. done by a professional contractor, and how much work you’re doing up front.

In general, expect at least a couple of months for a conversion, but larger conversions could take six months to a year. Remember: You can tackle projects as you go: Get the basic work done so that it’s livable, and then continue to enhance your living space over time.
