"Excellent. Dan responded to my request for a quote the same day, and I had the blinds cleaned the following day. They look like new. So great to have a service that comes to the home. Watching the ultrasonic cleaning being performed is really cool. I had qualms about getting up on a ladder to take them down and then dropping them off at a separate blind/shade cleaner."

"We got to know about this great company from someone who has used them before. Argo Glass team of expert really helped us during our renovation process. They used Teamwork as their project management tool. For updates, as an account manager, I was communicating with their manager over Skype. But before that, I set up an appointment via phone, and they were able to accommodate me for the same day. Upon contact, I reviewed the price list that contains their previous work or designs and it value equivalent, before we decided to use Argo Glass for the project. During the process, they gave me enough time to evaluate and understand our options. Now, with the new design, energy will be preserved thereby reducing expenses we make for it and it will be difficult before our company will consider calling for any window repair company to come and fix a single window for us. I also observed that their team was Punctual, professional and quick. These guys know exactly what they are doing. Argo Glass delivered the result as promised. Kudos to them!!!"

"I never contacted the provider or used this service in anyway. I have to
write this review so that the request to write this review stops
popping up.
The rating is bogus as it is required to be able to submit.

"We used JJB Home Improvements to replace 2 structural entry posts. This project also required removing and re-laying brick where the posts were anchored in the half walls. This project was very frustrating as it was impossible to diagnose exactly what was causing the post erosion without removing brick and opening up the soffit. We talked with many, many engineers and contractors and received many different point of views/recommendations. JJB was the only company that: 1) correctly diagnosed the issue before taking down the brick wall or soffit, 2) thoughtfully broke down and priced the bid into individual steps depending upon what they might find when the soffit/wall was revealed, 3) was capable/expert in doing ALL necessary repairs - - masonry, carpentry, concrete, structural. JJB’s finishing work was excellent, and it’s next to impossible to determine where the old portion of the wall stops and the new wall begins. We could always get a hold of JJB when we needed to discuss the project, and never had to wait to hear back from them. They treated this project as if it was their own home. We would (and will) use JJB over and over again in the future. Highly recommend."

"Returned my call and promptly scheduled a visit for estimate. Explained in detail what I could expect and when. Explained the differences of their product and company compared to others, in a very positive fashion. Detailed estimates of different options, colored vinyl to match the interior woodwork vs white. I had Pella replacements for a bay window and while pleased with those windows too, the time I would have had to spend staining the wood myself (or have Pella do it at a much higher cost), made Wellington the most sensible choice for me. Very pleased with the results."

"The first guy that came out misdiagnosed the problem.  We had to have them come out again.  He didn't charge us, and did the correct repair.  They were OK with pricing.  Most repair places don't apply the service call charge to the repair charge, but Sears did.  The first person I talked to on the phone didn't know what she was talking about.  That call was very challenging, possibly because of a language barrier.  I would use them again."

FAQs for blinds or shades repair projects in Milwaukee, WI

If you're wondering whether repairing your blinds is worth it, consider the quality and age of your blinds. For high-end or custom blinds, repairing them can preserve their quality, functionality, and design, making repair a smart choice. Immediate repairs maintain the original look and performance. However, if your blinds are over six years old, extensively damaged, or of lower quality, replacing them might be more cost-effective, as new blinds offer better efficiency and modern technology. Weigh the repair costs against the benefits of replacement to make the best decision for your situation.

When damage undermines the integrity and appearance of your blinds, replacement becomes the clear option. You should replace your blinds when damage to slats or fabric prevents you from obtaining an exact match, thereby compromising appearance and function. Severe damage increases repair complexity and expense. Replacing blinds not only restores superior performance but also creates an opportunity for aesthetic upgrades and lasting benefits.

You should plan to replace your blinds at least every 10 years, with clear signs of wear, such as discoloration, deterioration, or functional issues, emerging by five years. Regular evaluation of style, quality, and performance supports an informed decision. While minor repairs may temporarily extend usability, a complete replacement secures optimal operation and updated design.

Establish a regular maintenance routine to keep your blinds looking and functioning their best. Clean them regularly with mild, specialized products and follow the manufacturer's recommended usage guidelines. UV-blocking window film can protect against fading and warping from sun exposure. Regular inspections and proactive maintenance will preserve their appearance and performance, extending their overall lifespan.

If you pull the blind string and it does not move, it indicates a malfunction in the mechanism, such as a broken cord, a jammed cord lock, or a stuck component. Inspect the string for breaks and examine the headrail for any obstructions. Replace the defective cord or cord lock as necessary to restore proper operation and maintain functionality.

Yes, you can replace your blind string yourself by using a replacement kit available at home improvement stores. Accurate measurement of the string diameter is essential for a perfect fit. Gather the necessary tools and follow the manufacturer’s instructions rigorously to secure a safe, lasting fix. If the task demands more time than anticipated, hiring a professional is advisable to avoid further damage.
