"I was very pleased to hire Zen windows to replace my windows. It was a no hassle experience working with Brad. He quoted me a price and time that the windows would be installed and everything happened exactly as he promised. Very reputable and honest company to do business with unlike so many window installers that quote you one price and try to charge for extras. Would feel good recommending Zen windows to anyone that needed new windows."

"They did excellent work and clean-up. We had one existing egress that was not draining and water would rise more than 6" above the glass on the window. The new wells have no water back up at all! Wells and windows are a year old now and have no leaks or water pooling. The white galvanized wells still look new, no wear or rust. A Safe-T View cover was installed to prevent the kids from falling in and has worked wonderfullly, preventing injuries to the kids playing all around it! Thank you, Thank you!"

"Excellent from first meeting with Bob Cunningham, visiting their showroom a couple times with questions, coming up with a final quote/contract to scheduling to the installation, which took place yesterday. I had 5 pocket installations and 4 total replacement. I went from 2 standard windows to changing to a picture window and also an apron window in the kitchen. Selected windows from Pella and Soft-Lite. I have to say I really love the look quality of the 2 Pella's installed. I never felt pressured and always felt that any question I had was answered completely. My experience with HomeTowne Windows & Doors in New Berlin, WI was a good choice for me."

"The window replacement and screen door repair went well. They replaced the screen and the rollers. While they were at my home, we asked for an estimate to replace a broken window. They also noticed other windows that needed to be replaced. We agreed to replace two sliding door screens and the bottom rollers. We also agreed to replace two windows. owever, while installing the windows, they damaged two of our window screens as they were taking them out or putting them back in (they were a pretty tight fit). We found the damage later that day and called Broken Windows. They denied that they damaged the screens. They agree to replace one of the damaged screens if we paid to replace the other damaged screen. We paid for them to replace two other window screens. As it turns out, when we got the screens back, none of the window screens fit the frames anymore, even when we waited for warmer weather in May (in case the frames shrunk during the cold winter temperatures). We will now go to another company to replace all four screens and to replace all corners of each damaged screen."

"I had a single pane window and full-sized, in-door mirror replaced in my home.  T&L Glass was excellent.  The tech (did not catch his name because I was on my way out) was very professional and was finished in about an hour and a half.  The new window and mirror look great and everything was restored to pre-service condition (molding was replaced, all old glass cleaned up, etc.).  T&L was the most competitive of at least 3 glass contractors that I contacted in the area and about the only one who didn't make me feel like a total idiot when I explained the type of mirror replacement I needed.  In fact, they followed up twice to make sure we had the right measurements and bevel for the mirror.  The final bill was exactly what the receptionist quoted.  Totally impressed - I would recommend them to anyone in the area. <br />"

"I had four glass block windows, with vents, installed last year. The process was a lot better than I could have hoped for. The final price was exactly as quoted, measurements were taken during the quote, and the guys showed up with the windows made exactly to the measurements. The installation went smoothly and quickly, with the only delay being they ran out of concrete, and one of the guys had to run to Menards to get more! Didn't change the cost to me at all. They cleaned up thoroughly after the job, and I couldn't be happier with the end product."

"Replacement was fast and efficient. Coordinator in the office was quick to respond, and worked with me to find the best time (rescheduled due to child illness) and location (due to bitter cold) to replace my windshield. On the install date, I didn't get a call from their tech with an ETA, but when I emailed the company, they responded right away with the ETA, and the tech arrived exactly on time. The morning after the replacement, I noticed that my wipers weren't working right, and the windshield washers weren't working, so I emailed the office. The next business day, they had a tech back out to immediately fix everything. While the minor error was a bit of a hassle, I would still hire them again. Very friendly, very good communication, and they back up their work. Special shout out to Shirley, who helped me work out potential rescheduling when my daughter became sick, and was caring enough to ask about her afterward. :) I purchased an Angie's List deal for $75 toward windshield replacement for this work."

FAQs for new windows service projects in Milwaukee, WI

Yes, bay windows add value to a home. They enhance the property by expanding the interior space and flooding rooms with natural light. Their unique three-panel design creates a stunning focal point that elevates curb appeal and modernizes living areas. This architectural detail increases both functional space and visual appeal, directly contributing to higher home resale value.

Yes, all window types have the potential to become part of a bay window configuration when modified correctly. The transformation involves reconfiguring standard windows into a multi-panel design that features a larger central window flanked by smaller ones. This process requires precise professional planning and custom framing to ensure durability, visual balance, and structural integrity.

Bay windows typically consist of three glass panels extending beyond the home's exterior walls, with a larger center panel flanked by two smaller ones. In contrast, bow windows are composed of four to six equally sized glass panels that create a gentle curve and do not extend as far from the exterior walls.

Bay windows cost more than standard windows because their expansive, multi-panel design requires additional materials and skilled labor. Their construction involves extra glass, specialized frame components that extend outward, and complex operating mechanisms. These technical demands necessitate precise engineering and multiple expert installations, thereby significantly increasing both material and labor expenses.

Bay windows cost three times more than standard double-hung windows because their design requires extra panels, expanded framing, and a more complex installation process. The advanced construction method increases material consumption and demands comprehensive expertise, while specialized window treatments further elevate expenses. This all results in a significant difference in overall project cost.
