He explained what was to be done and that it should take about an hour. "I highly recommend Farmhouse Garage doors. Our job consisted of installing a new garage door on the third stall of a three stall garage and installing a new garage door opener. The older garage door opener was moved to the new door and a newer one was installed in the main door. The estimate process was quick, a couple of adjustments were made with no issues, a few rusty, worn out parts were replaced in the main door from serviceable parts from the old third stall door. "My garage door would not close and was stuck open with both cables on either side of the door unspooled from the drum and essentially locking the door at 3ft open. I used Angi to look up nearby contractors and A1 came up. They contacted me very quickly and when I acknowledged I needed service, they were on site within the hour! The end result is that they repaired my issue so that I can use the door again. To get to that point - they walked me through what they planned to do. Midway through the repair, they did ask to meet with me to recommend fully replacing all bars, springs, cables and tracks (for about $1600-$1800), but I declined as I was not ready to make that large a decision and may want to change the garage door in the future. There was a bit of back and forth on whether they would tighten the springs which were insufficiently wound, but they did in the end. I would work with them again. I'd prefer full discussion on what they can do to finish the requested job first."
