Come to find out, it was electrical like we originally thought. He should have traced the issue before he went in and installed the new heater. UPDATE (08/13/2015): I think it was more of a misunderstanding of how much electrical work he is able to do vs. what needed to be done. He is not an electrician. Once we spoke we were able to get a much better understanding of the issue."

"They were nice guys.  They were hired by the contractor remodeling our bathroom.  I have a complaint against them - they knocked a couple of holes through the bathroom, into the living room.  We had to do the repair ourselves.  The plumbing was fine, but I didn't appreciate the holes in the wall.  I actually complained to the contractor and I don't know if he said anything about it.  I used my plumber for all the other plumbing work in my house.  Once the contractor was through with his little piece, then I got my own plumbing in."

"This review involves the handling of a leaking water heater issue through American Home Shield (AHS). After contacting AHS, they assigned Lindsay Plumbing to address the issue. Lindsay reached out to me on the same day and immediately scheduled an appointment. I was told that I would be contacted by Chad relative to a Friday, 8:00 am appointment. On September 7, 2018, Chad called and advised he would be at my residence at 8:00 am. He arrived promptly at 8:00 am on that day. He introduced himself and we went to the upstairs 2nd floor attic. While in the attic, I could hear him talking to an AHS representative, advising them of the problem and discussing what parts he would need to replace the water heater. Once he was downstairs, we discussed the heater needing to be replaced. I also received a call from AHS advising me what my out of pocket cost (permit, parts and labor) would be, and that they would take care of the replacement water heater. Chad scheduled the following Friday for the work. The following Friday, Chad and his associate arrived promptly at 8:00 am. and immediately got to work. Chad and his associate worked in the attic removing the old and replacing the new water heater. It took them about an hour to complete the installation and removal of the old water heater. Chad provided me with the requisite paperwork relative to the new water heater and indicated that his office would be scheduling a City inspection the following week. Overall, both gentlemen were very professional, and cordial. They did an excellent job. As a footnote, I learned that I would be heading out of town the following week. I contacted Lindsay to expedite the city inspection. I spoke to Sherrie. I advised her of my situation. She told me that she would be calling the City Inspectors office to see when she could arrange before I left town. Within minutes, I received a voice mail back from Sherrie advising me that she had scheduled an afternoon appointment with the City Inspectors office, within the next two days. The inspector come out two days later and issued my permit. Again, I applaud the professionalism exhibited by all persons with Lindsay that handled this matter."

"Whew, we have a RELATIONSHIP with Abacus at this point. We've been using them since 2016 and with the exception of the most recent job, we've had major issues with every job we've hired them for. BUT, they are amazing at coming back, at no charge, to correct everything and make sure we're 100% satisfied with the work. I fully trust that if I have a problem with any work they've performed, I can call & they will come & make it right. That's not trust you can have with just anyone. Our first major project was when we noticed a massive leak in our front yard in May 2016. We discovered the previous installation of a water softener system was done incorrectly, so we had them install a new one, fix the issues, and replace our water heaters with one tankless water heater. It was a huge, very costly project. They did it quickly, but there was some internal communication issues and a final inspection and review was never completed. After a few months went by, we contacted and the supervisor inspected and they even came out when the city shut off our gas, as we could smell gas in our backyard & we discovered the leak was our neighbor's. But, they didn't charge to come out, since they'd dropped the ball on their work that could have impacted gas lines. Our second major project was to replace our electrical box after it was fried and replace our HVAC system. The electrician messed up big time, I had to HOUND their supervisors and spend way too much time losing my mind at some people, but since then, they've given me top notch customer service & completely rectified the situation. They did end up compensating us for their errors and turned around a terrible mess of a job. Our latest major project was a whole house re-piping after the winter storm. They responded SO quickly to us, the guys were AMAZING, and honestly, this job only had a few minor, minor hiccups and that they were there for us in such a crazy, stressful time, means the world to us. They did great work, were very timely, and very respectful of our house and time. Overall, Abacus is very expensive. You need to stay on top of communication with them, because their internal communication isn't the strongest. But at the end of the day, we will continue to go back to them because they do always make sure we're taken care of and will do whatever they need to to make things right."

He came to do the inspection by himself and provided me some suggestions on how to solve the problem economically. I have received quotes from other companies but Rob's proposals were very 'customer friendly' and that's why I decided immediately to give him the contract. 

About a week later, he called and told me that his crew will start working. It took them about 2.5 days to complete the drainage system installation and to level-up some low spots in my backyard. Rob himself came again to do the final inspection and I was very satisfied with his professionalism.
