"A good experience from start to finish.  A tile installer recommended them to me and said his company uses them exclusively.  Showroom guy (Telford)  was very nice and helpful (not entirely prepared or accurate answering my slew of very specific questions, though, but in the process all my questions were answered just fine).  Measuring guy was courteous and efficient, explained how it would work.  I couldn't have a purely frameless shower, since I had a Schluter Curb that couldn't be drilled for any reason, so I needed a length of u-channel at the bottom of the stationery panels. Dale Alderfer helped me to make a change to the height of the enclosure at no extra charge.  Installers were detail-oriented, courteous and professional (tarps, cleaned up, removed their trash, etc.)  Price isn't cheap, but YGWYPF and what I got was good quality service. I can't speak to the durability of the glass b/c it's only been in 2 months, but so far, so good.

"Rob was personable, professional and prompt! He was able to seamlessly repair a custom window and even matched the tint. You are unable to tell it was repaired. His prices are very fair, and competitive. Would recommend him to anyone looking for window repair and other glass services"

"Appoinment time was 10am. Arrived 2pm to install living room mirror. He estimated time frame of completion 2 hours. Finished job 5:45pm. Call back next morning regarding chrome framing mirror left off on left side. Stated would come back out to place. He never showed back up. Questionable integrity and accountability."

"We sold our house and a few days before closing, some idiot broke a living room window. It needed to be repaired ASAP. I posted my job and Manny responded. He came to the house on a Sunday afternoon, measured and emailed me an estimate the next morning. His price was fair and he said he could have the window in by Wednesday (closing was Thursday). When installing the window, Manny ran into a problem. He went ahead and got what he needed to complete the job and was back at the house at 6AM Thursday morning, just hours before the buyer's final walk through. The buyer never noticed. It was a great job. Manny is professional, his company does what it takes to make the job right and the customer happy. I recommend "A Pane in My Glass" without reservation. I don't think you can find better, individualized service. Thanks, Manny."

"I have a 2 story breakfast area that actually had a chandelier hanging down but was a nuisance and very ugly. I figured instead of having another chandelier put in its place it was suggested that we put in recessed lights using the LED dimmable bulbs. Sounded like a great idea. I was having my 2 story foyer and breakfast area ceiling painted (one continuous ceiling) and figured before it was painted I might as well have the chandelier removed and the recessed lighting installed. I originally called my regular electrician but their quote was quite higher than what I expected to spend so I went to Angie's and I called R. J. He came out and gave me a quote for half of what my regular electrician was going to charge me so I set up the appointment for the same day the painters were starting. R.J. called me that morning and informed me that one of his crew was out sick and the other was having car problems and wanted to know if he could reschedule. I informed him that the painters were starting and it would be kind of difficult for them to work around this and he said, "ok, hold on for a bit and let me see what I can arrange and I'll call you back and let you know if we can get out there". About an hour later he called and said he would be out there by 11:30 and he was. He really came through. He explained to his crew what was to be done and informed me that they would only be a few hours. His crew members that performed the work were very thorough, efficient, polite and neat. They did a great job of the installation and of the clean up. By the time they were done you would have never known that there had been a chandelier hanging in the same spot. I will definitely use R. J. Little again in the future since I still have a several electrical updates/needs to complete. He and his crew were great!"

"They really are not that good because the work they did started to deteriorate quickly after they did it. They came back and resolved the problem but they also did additional work; they really are not the best painters. The price was very reasonable and they also did some exterior painting for me as well. The interior painting was not as professional as I thought it could have been but they were quick to respond to my needs. They were punctual."

"This company is extremely honest, hard working, and reasonable in price. I contaced Millenium Remodeling because I had a leaky shower that was leaking into the kitchen ceiling causing water damage. I also wanted to get a couple of other home improvement projects done around the house as well. I had contaced a couple of other contractors to get an estimate about the leaky shower and everyone had told me that I would have to rip out the entire shower and replace it because they would not know where the source of the leak was coming from. Also, everyone told me that I would have to call a handy man to get all the other projects done. I was confused because the other contractors advertised  that no project is too small. So, when Darin from Millenium arrived to my house and looked at my shower and said that it was a simpe fix and I did not have to tear out my entire shower, I was pleased. I was even more pleased that they said they could also do the other projects. Mike and Dan who were the main people who worked on my home, were awesome!  They were respectful of my home and always left my home clean with little or no mess at all everyday. The two would engage in my 10 month daughter and she loved it. The leaky shower gave Mike and his team a run for the money. The shower continued to leaky, after stripping all the caulk, removing the shower doors, cleaning the entire shower, and re-caulking. Mike spent many days figuring out where the source of the leak was coming from, but he never gave up, which is something that I like when hiring people. Mike finally figured the source of the leak in the shower and it has never leaked since then. The other thing that I really loved about this company was that they would ask to come in on saturdays or days that they were not scheduled to come to finish up a project, so that I would not have a missing bedroom door or not having outlet covers on my tile backsplash that is waiting for the mastic to dry. I would definitely use this company in the future for any additional home improvement projects that I may have.

FAQs for glass shower door or enclosure repair projects in Montgomeryville, PA

The type of glass shower you choose depends on your household size, lifestyle, and budget. Custom designs and frameless doors will cost more to install and repair. Framed glass shower doors can be a more budget-friendly option.

If your glass shower has many people using it daily, you also want to opt for durable glass options, and you’ll need to stay on top of maintenance and repairs.

Regular cleaning and sealing are key to keeping a glass shower door in its best shape. A glass shower door looks great in modern bathrooms, but when the glass is covered in dried water spots or smudged fingerprints, it can make the entire bathroom look messy.

  • Apply water repellent: Water repellent costs about $5 to $10. Use it to help wick away water droplets from the glass.

  • Squeegee the walls: Keep a squeegee in the shower, and use it to remove water from the glass after each shower; this only takes a few minutes.

  • Weekly cleaning: Each week, use a glass-safe cleaner or a foam cleaning eraser to scrub down glass shower walls.

  • Monthly cleaning: Check caulking and reapply as needed to prevent leaks, particularly for frameless doors. Clean the tracks to prevent the door from sticking.

There are several glass treatment options out there that can make it easier to keep your glass shower door clean. Treatments can help keep soap scum, corrosion, and pesky little fingerprints at bay. You might pay as much as a 30% upcharge on the price of your glass shower door to add a protective coating.

Even with a protective coating, you have to clean your shower. If you are diligent about wiping down shower walls after use and giving the glass a more thorough cleaning every week, you can likely save money and skip the added glass treatment.

If your shower endures heavy use from multiple family members and guests, a protective coating can make it easier to keep the glass spotless.
