"I was glad with how fast, friendly, easy it went for me to turn it in and get results quickly. They helped with my Angie's discount so it was good to know i got the best price (less than I imagined) to have this done. The possibility of having mold in a house is stressful enough... glad to have this go smoothly."

"The inspector was very through (inspection took 3 hours). He discussed what he was looking for and why. He took picture and asked questions throughout the house. He suggested that we take a sample of mold growing on the wall along with the airborne samples. (Good thing I took his advise) The scraped sample turned out to be Stachybotrys. We decided that we did not want the house because the cleanup would be too expensive and is never a sure thing. When I asked him to recommended a company for cleanup he told me that it would be a conflict of interest to tell me. Very professional.ett <br />"

"<p>Will and Trey were the most courteous technicians I have had the pleasure of meeting from any company.  They were on time, polite, explained everything in detail prior to beginning work.  They took before and after pictures, and how amazing the entire vent systems looked.  They also removed the blower from the handler and cleaned it so it looked like new again.</p> <p>After they were complete they performed a complete walk through and showed me where they had cleaned, tapped holes and covered up again.</p> <p>I will be using this company again for any vent/duct cleaning needs in the future.</p> <br />"

"Our basement has been leaking forever, probably since the house was originally built. Every time it would rain hard, water would seep in between the foundation walls and basement slab. After a hard rain, I would vacuum up 15-20 gallons of water with my wet/dry vacuum. We had a landscaping and irrigation company put in french drains to deflect rainwater, which didn't help at all. I called a few local companies but none *specialized* in basement waterproofing, so I called two larger regional companies to get quotes. We called AquaGuard and BDry, and got a quote from each. Both seemed professional, both had great financing options, but BDry came in significantly lower in price. Almost half the price of AquaGuard's proposal. We went with BDry. They completed the waterproofing in about 2 days, were very professional, and cleaned up pretty well when they left. It's been over six months since we had the basement waterproofed, and we haven't had a drop of water in the basement since. Now that we are confident the basement won't leak, we started finishing the basement. Plumbers cut the concrete to move drain lines for a toilet and shower, and accidentally cut into the BDry drain lines. BDry gave me an entire section of the corrugated drain and piece to connect it so my plumber could fix it, and they didn't charge me a dime. Their service is awesome, and I would recommend them to anyone with basement waterproofing services."

"Complete crawlspace encapsulation approx. 1600 sqft. including French drain, sump pump, dehumidifier and mold removal by blasting with baking soda followed by sealing the wood. American Crawlspace Solutions has it's own crews, no subcontractors. Jeremy (one of the owners) arrived on time for the estimate. He was very courteous and answered numerous questions. Based on those answers, along with Angie's List reviews, he was given the job. The crew was on time, courteous, worked hard and left the jobsite clean. Several weeks later there was a small problem with a seam. Jeremy was quick to respond and took care of it personally. Great customer service."

FAQs for toxicity and mold removal projects in Monticello, GA

Remediation should keep mold from returning as long as the moisture source is eliminated. Fix leaks, control humidity, and replace water-damaged materials, then schedule periodic inspections to stay ahead of new growth. With those safeguards, your home can stay mold-free for the long haul while protecting both health and property value.

Most pros recommend leaving the home while they work on mold remediation. Removing mold stirs up airborne spores that can aggravate respiratory issues, and contractors can work more efficiently in an empty space. A short, temporary relocation keeps everyone in your family safe and lets the crew finish the job without interruption.

Mold shouldn’t return once the moisture problem is fixed. Stay vigilant: repair leaks right away, keep humidity below 50 percent with a dehumidifier placed in damp areas, and improve ventilation where needed. Routine checks for leaks and mold and quick repairs go a long way toward keeping your home mold-free.

Mold spores can trigger nasal congestion, throat irritation, coughing, wheezing, eye irritation, or skin rashes. People with asthma, allergies, or weakened immune systems often feel the effects sooner and more intensely. Some molds also release mycotoxins linked to serious respiratory or neurological issues. Swift remediation and better ventilation are the best defenses.
