"The crew came early (after calling to ask if they could come early). They got right to work. One guy did the inside and the other did the outside. After they finished one guy walked around to show me what they did and show me funny things about my windows (like one had a fingerprint between the panes and another had a scratch on it). The windows looked fantastic. 2 of my basement windows had overspray from when the house was stuccoed or painted and that was all removed. I was floored. "Michael Lane understood immediately the detail work that would need to be done. He was able to remove the molding intact so it could be reused (saving $$$ in having custom molding done.) Removed the panels and sheet rock. Mike brought in a plumber and discussed with him what should be done. Pipe replaced. New sheet rock and ash panels installed and molding replaced. Staining was a process as it had to blend with the rest of the paneled walls. But Michael worked until it got done! He was on time. Knew what he was doing. It was easy to work with him."

In 2022, my husband, who already battled Parkinson’s, took a serious fall and was hospitalized for the next 10 months. It became very clear that I would not be able to care for him in our home - I needed a more appropriate housing situation. Securing a one-level house was the easy part. Remodeling that house into a completely fitted ADA space was the challenge. In January, 2023, I initiated my search-for-a-contractor. I explored websites and read reviews specifically on Angi. Each review posted about Dayhoff Remodeling was positive - even glowing. I called. From our first meeting, I was impressed by Chuck. Drawing on his years of experience, Chuck added sensible, practical, and, when executed, beautiful details to every aspect of the project - crafting new drawers in the kitchen and bathroom; also crafting pull-out shelves for the kitchen cabinets; designing and building a sturdy staging platform for the lift installed in the garage; noting that folding closet doors would be preferable to sliding doors; extending the kitchen counter for a usable bar-seating area. Attention to detail influenced each of his work decisions. Chuck is smart, artistic, and skilled - his work is exceptional, and so is he! I trusted him completely. Coordinated with a gutter contractor to work around the removal of gutters and then gutter replacement. His people were friendly, courteous, and mindful of social distancing requirements (painting was performed during stay-at-home lockdown for COVID-19.)
