"Mark Spencer checked our exterior door that had become difficult to lock and unlock. He identified possible solutions that we will try to pursue with the door installer. I wish we had used Legacy Window & Door when we had the door installed in 2015."

"Jim responded promptly to my order placed on Angie's List for the Remote Computer Tune Up & Repair Deal.  He cleaned up the computer remotely, which was running very slowly, and required frequent re-boots.  Computer is running much faster now.  Great service.  Would highly recommend.

"I had used Jordan Roofing a couple of years earlier for roof repairs and knew I could trust them to deliver quality for the roof replacement. Don Jordan reviewed the the insurance adjuster?s report along with my roof and determined the insurance adjuster had missed some damage. The insurance company agreed to come out again and review the roof with Don present. During the second insurance adjuster visit, Don negotiated professionally with the adjuster to ensure all areas of concern were addressed. The insurance company agreed to cover all of the discrepancies.
In addition to the insurance roof replacement, my house needed new trim and a color makeover. Since there was bad trim in high areas that I do not want to paint often, I decided to replace all of the fascia with CPVC, high quality plastic trim that looks and feels like wood but would never rot or require much painting. Due to the order of proper assembly, all work on the trim, paint, gutters and roof had to be done at the same time. Since we were hiring Don for the insurance roof replacement, we had him quote replacement of all trim and painting. His quote was very reasonable.
The color makeover was a difficult decision. My wife and I definitely did not want to keep the old colors, but wanted to pick the perfect color scheme for the new investment. Don provided samples of Certainteed shingles and made suggestions for color schemes. We had narrowed it down to two options but really wanted something in-between. Don contacted me a few days later with news that his supplier was starting a sale on Owens-Corning, which would result in a less expensive upgrade. Don came out a second time with shingle sample boards for the alternate brand with similar colors and alternatively suggested some new artisan colors that may provide the variety of color that we wanted. He offered to bring full shingles and place them on the roof to provide a clear comparison. As promised, he came back a couple of days later with the requested samples and held them on the roof one at a time. The color we selected coordinates perfectly with our brick and siding.
Don and his crew replaced our roof on June 11th and 12th. During the installation, Don notified me that the workers had installed some of the new fascia inside out from what had been agreed upon (faux wood grain out instead of smooth side out). Don assured me he would correct the problem at no extra charge and then kept his word.
Once the new shingles were in place, we were able to narrow the trim color down to three options. Don suggested painting short sections of trim with each color using small and inexpensive samples from the local hardware store. After applying this technique to some scraps of new trim, we were able to pick the perfect color.
After the trim had been partially painted, Don noticed some nail holes that required additional caulking and then directed the painter to redo the affected spots. Despite a few drops of paint on the new shingles, the painters did a decent job.
The last phase of the project was installing gutters. Once they were installed, I noticed that a couple of downspout elbow connections were omitted with respect to the initial gutter system. Don sent the gutter team out to correct the issue and then personally walked around the house with me to make sure I was happy with the work.
I have had multiple compliments from neighbors regarding the new roof and improved curb appeal of my home. I enjoyed working with Don on my project and would definitely use him again for future projects.

"The projects were completed quickly and efficiently. In the past, Crew found a source of a roof leak, repaired extensive ceiling cracks and nail pops, and helped prepare our last house for sale. I would use their staff for almost any home repairs."

"Set a date and time for service ( actually it was a wet and raining cold day) and I really did not expect service on such a ugly day but DJ was there  and on time and did all work as expected. DJ explained everything to my husband and there were no surprises.

Any question I had for Rob ( the owner) he was easy to reach or returned calls or texts promptly.
I would highly recommend the company to others and I have.

Thanks for your service.

"It went very well. Choice Home Warranty dispatched an HVAC service provider to my house the next day. The problem turned out to be two rather expensive parts for my furnace that needed replacement. The HVAC provider had to get approval from Choice Home Warranty to purchase and replace the parts. The repairman told me that in his experience working with home warranty companies, there was a chance that either the company would deny the request or that approval would take many days. Much to his and his company's surprise (and my deep relief), Choice approved the repairs within a matter of hours, and the service provider returned the next morning to repair my furnace. The repairs would've cost me over $700; instead, I only had to pay the small service call fee as outlined in my contract with Choice Home Warranty. I very highly recommend Choice Home Warranty for every homeowner! It's brought me such peace of mind to know that if any of my covered items -- and they cover a lot! -- should need expensive repairs, Choice has my back. Thank you, Choice Home Warranty! p.s. It's now a warm, comfortable 68 degrees inside my house."

"The first time it was $21,000, then we had them do some additional...they gave us an estimate, I think of around $6000 and honestly we haven't paid them because they haven't finished. They seemed very professional. I thought they would do an excellent job. They could match our color scheme. This is in a company that is warranted, life time paint, never have to paint again and if we do, we'll come out time and time again to do it. So the idea was great and we had been having to paint the brand new home every year. We were tired of that and they seemed like they could do a great job and the product seemed very good. We had them paint it the first time and we had room additions added and they painted that. It seemed very good and very professional. They painted some things that they shouldn't have like the windows, so it is hard to close them. Overall they did a decent job but then the last time they came out to do some repair work, they actually did some construction in addition to the painting and then they didn't match the paint colors correctly. They didn't finish the repair work, where they thought they might have finished it, it wasn't as it was before architecturally, aesthetically pleasing anymore. I had a punch out list and I said, this is all the punch out list that needs to be addressed. They said something about, okay they'll take care of it but they never scheduled a time or place to review the punch out list or to schedule to get them fixed. We have been calling and they've not been returning our calls. We thought they were out of business actually. Then last year all of our windows sills rotted and again, with the paint that wouldn't have happened. We replaced all of our windows. The window company actually reached out to Hoosier Permanent Coatings  and they are still in business as you probably found them in your system. They said well because we didn't pay them that last amount our, warranty is null and void. So we've been trying to call them, we leave messages and they don't call us back. If we talked to them maybe this thing can be settled."

FAQs for door or window screens install or repair projects in Mooreland, IN

Most off-the-shelf screens come in fixed sizes, ranging from 18 inches by 20 inches to 36 inches by 74 inches, which fit the vast majority of residential windows. If your opening falls outside that range or has a unique shape, you’ll need a custom screen built to the exact measurements. Going custom ensures a secure fit, a solid barrier against bugs, and a clean, finished look.

The decision to repair or replace your screen depends on the extent of the damage. Small holes or tears in otherwise solid mesh can be patched, and a sturdy frame usually doesn’t need to go anywhere. However, once the frame is bent or the mesh is brittle and fraying in several spots, replacement becomes a more sensible option—and often proves to be less costly in the long run. Take a close look at both parts before making a decision.

To rescreen a window, start by prying out the old spline, then lift the torn mesh from the frame. Lay the new screen over the frame, allowing about an inch of excess on all sides, and hold it in place while pressing fresh spline into the groove with a roller. Check that the mesh is taut—many pros rest a small brick on it while they work—then trim the overhang with a utility knife.

Most window screens last for 10 to 12 years. Time, sun, and weather gradually make the mesh brittle, so you’ll start to see sagging, rips, or thinning spots that let bugs get through. Check the screens each season; if the mesh crumbles or the frame warps, it’s time to replace them to keep air flowing and pests outside.

Most pros can swap out a screen in 10 minutes to an hour. A quick pop‑in replacement goes fastest, while fitting new mesh into an existing frame or working on a hard‑to‑reach upper window adds time. Either way, plan for at least a few extra minutes per screen so the installer can verify the fit and ensure the spline is seated correctly.
