"Estimator showed up on time and examined the issue, taking pictures of the problem to show me. Gave me two options, one was to just fix the main issue and the other was a longer term solution for the whole chimney cap flue system. I chose the later. Cost was about $2700. They removed the crown, removed the broken top flu tile and put in a new crown and tile as well as a "fake" tile around the metal exhaust pipe for the furnace/water heater and raised that pipe so that it won't be spewing excess moisture onto the new flue tile for the main chimney. Work was done on time. Workers seemed to know what they were doing and advised me along the way and took pictures so that I could see the finished product. They took care of our yard and deck and cleaned up after they were done."

"We contacted Baun Chimney after the inspection report for the home we purchased to have him clean and personally inspect the chimney to give us a second opinion.  Michael arrived on time and executed the cleaning of the chimney, he lit the gas fireplace and confirmed its functionality and was very honest with us that the chimney had been converted from wood to gas and being that if we left it gas, the chimney would not need future cleanings.  So I appreciated the honesty of Michael. <br /> He climbed on the roof and did confirm the inspection report and took pictures of the issues and explained that he could return in the next week and execute on the masonry work and he would recommend that we cap the chimney with a waterproofing sealant that would protect the chimney for a minimum of ten years.  We agreed to move forward and Michael returned the next week and performed the work as estimated and the cap looks great. <br /> I would always recommend Michael and his company due to the great ownership and pride he takes in his work and name in the business. <br />"

When he arrived, he introduced himself and verified the scope of work requested. He went straight to work. When complete he explained everything he did, showed pictures of things that would need work, and answered all of my questions. It was only $150 for the inspection and cleaning and I received my receipt with the pictures he had taken within minutes. He was quick, clean and very professional. "I was very impressed with the quality of work. The tile they replaced had to be ordered and picked up in Indianapolis. I got a call within 2 weeks that it was ready and then it was installed within another 2 weeks. The outside chimney work in the cap area looks good from the picture I was shown as the previous metal flashing up there was rusted pretty bad. The only complaint I have is that they are a smaller company so it can take several weeks for a fireplace cleaning or work to be done...But that is also a part of their charm. The same person came to my house for each job and I felt he was very knowledgeable."

"Mr. Robert Helm was out last August (2014) for an estimate and to meet with my insurance adjuster, but we had a baby in September and the repair job fell off our radar until this Spring (after I noticed a few more shingles blown off in our yard). The repair costs were less than our deductible, so it would be out of pocket. After reconnecting in Spring, he returned my call promptly and was able to schedule the work to within a couple days of my requested window. Robert is a super nice guy and easy to work with. Very accommodating and extremely honest. After the job, he calculated actual material costs and time spent and it came out to be less than the original estimate! He took great care in matching the shingle and the work looks great. No damage to anything and NO MESS. Also, I was appreciative that he didn't call CPS on us after seeing the "cage" with a kid's chair in it that my daughter uses as her pretend jail on her playground. LOL.
