"This review is for my mother who is 85 and doesnâ t use a computer: My mom contacted them for a flood in her basement caused by a blocked drainage line from her washer. She contacted them late in the day and he showed up right away. He was able to stop the flooding giving the sump pump the ability to drain the water overnight. He came back the next morning, used the camera to detect where the blockage was, which he then cleared and was able to repair the line and repipe where the washer connected to the sewage line. He was courteous, professional, efficient and a pleasure to deal with. His pricing was fair for the work he did and he is someone that I highly recommend in an emergency as well as under normal circumstances. Robert Hernandez is a true professional and Iâ m grateful for his expertise and service. "A hard rain caused the patio drain of our 100+year old house in Brooklyn to back up, flood the patio and prevent us from flushing our toilets. (You said you wanted detail so here goes.)  Instead of going into the sewer, the contents of the toilets emptied onto the patio. (Gasp!)   After one plumber worked for three hours he couldn't solve the problem, and two other plumbers (one from Angie's List) passed on even trying. One plumber said we need a "drain specialist" and referred us to Kenny at Response Service Group.
When I called Kenny his response was immediate, detailed and professional. He took time over the phone to ask me several questions to help him assess our situation. After ten minutes we set an appointment for the next day and Kenny was there the next morning. He first checked out our house and plumbing set-up, and then he and his assistant set to work with a "super-snake."  Within two hours he had cleared the clog and we were happily flushing our toilets again and the patio drain was dry as a bone. "Dave arrived at the property on time and from the start I appreciated his professionalism.  He was very knowledgeable about the home's construction and immediately noticed safety hazards that I had overlooked upon my own, limited, cursory inspection.  None of the items he pointed out were deal-breakers, but before we went into final contract I was able to get the Sellers to repair these deficiencies (loose front pavers and handrails, leaking basement sink, uneven pavers around the pool, etc.).  He indicated which parts of the outdoor backyard wooden deck were subject to wood-rot and he also pointed out parts of the roof that might need a professional roofer to later address.  He pointed out that the water heater was ending it's useful life (over ten years old) and his concerns about the electric panel box (wattage input and wiring) were later addressed by the Seller to my satisfaction.  The professionals he brought in for the septic tank inspection utilized fiber optics, permitting a full examination of the septic tank, verifying that a new septic system had indeed been installed, correctly, as the Seller had asserted.  From the darkest corner of the basement to the dimly lighted attic, Dave gave valuable insights as to the construction-quality of the house.  I was very satisfied with his thorough report and the reports of the other inspectors.  Without reservation, I recommend Dave Polo & Associates very much!"

"I was searching Home Warranty providers after a bad experience with my 7 year, soon to be terminated "former" Fidelity Home Warranty service provider. Warranty service providers are essential, for they step in and "act" when life deals you an "Oh Crap" situation like your refrigerator suddenly quits. Every high dollar appliance in a home has a life span that will end whether your prepared for it or not. It's a common occurance that leads to unexpected higher debt concerns while you frantically attempt to save your food from going bad. Got a minimum of $1,700 to get a new one? A truck or a really good friend to borrow theirs to pick it up? Plus time to allow it to achieve proper temperature to transfer your temp sensitive food! Well if you haven't experienced this type of event, in your life, you will! I began by doing some easy research online like searching for best Home Warranty providers. I put some inquiries out to prospective providers and as expected, the sales calls began to ring on my phone. They all have why "they" are the best provider - so take notes and compare policies. Ask whether they cover swimming pools, septic systems, roof repairs etc. So my phone rings with an out-of-state area code and it's Zach from Choice Home Warranty. While on the call, this enthusiastic salesman hit all the "trigger" items I was looking for; *Annual Service Price *Price per claim deductable *Response time You know, all the "need to know" info that helps you make an informative decision. I started paying $550/year 7 years ago in 2014 with my old service provider. The per claim fee was $65. Today in 2022, it's $710/year and $85/claim. Was it worth it you ask? If I figure the math, my total cost over 7 years and only 4 claims was $4,450 or $636/year. This cost paid to replace my pools salt cell and chlorine generator ($1,800 in parts alone), 2 separate Air Conditioner repairs which replaced the coil fan motor, a circuit board replacement, system coil cleansing, relays and a capacitor. (No idea of how much my total cost would have been. I paid $65 twice. Nice huh?) 1 roof repair that replaced the "Cricket", which is a 15' roof section elevational change just below the ridge line. It's important to remember that these repairs don't include "hidden costs" which are personnel and service labor rates. Something you will pay for without a Warranty Service. Here's the best part of the call from this AWESOME salesman. He offered me 6 year "fully transferable", rate locked for life" service policy that when divided out by 6 is LESS THAN WHAT I WAS PAYING ANNUALLY, 7 YEARS AGO!!! So, is a Home Warranty plan a safe bet??? I have a 9 word answer for those without a Choice Home Warranty service plan. YOU BET YOUR DRIPPING SWEATY BUTT CRACK IT IS!!! Props to Zach, YOU DA MAN!!! "The technician emptied the freezer, which was in the basement, to work on the part that needed repair. Then he neglected to put anything back into the freezer, including a turkey I had bought for Christmas and a rack of ribs. Two days after he left, I went out of town for two weeks.
