  Comment: My current septic tank in old Lakeway is 50 years old and has cracks in it. I am connecting to the city sewer line in about 2 weeks and need to decommission the old septic tank per LCRA requirements, poke holes in the concrete wall, collapse the lid and fill. I need an estimate to pump out and decommission the septic tank. Per Texas Administrative Code, Title 30, Chapter 285, subChapter D: (a) A tank that is not to be used again for holding sewage shall be abandoned. (b) To properly abandon, the owner shall conduct the following actions, in the order listed. (1) All tanks, boreholes, cesspools, seepage pits, holding tanks, and pump tanks shall have the wastewater removed by a waste transporter, holding a current registration with the executive director.
