This required two trips to the store, however, which affected the cost. I had requested that the plumber replace the line for the ice maker and had purchased a new line. I wanted to be able to pull the refrigerator out from the wall for cleaning. What the plumber wound up doing was to cut off the section of the old line that was leading and attach the (now shorter) line. So I have ice again but not much slack to pull the refrigerator out."
