"After trying twice to schedule a repair visit through Whirlpool, I finally joined Angie's list.  I found Crystal Aire, liked the reviews and contacted her.  She scheduled an appointment for a 1/2 hour period the next day and arrived within the time window.  She ordered the part, delivered and repaired it and actually called to tell us she would be a half hour late getting the part.  It was incredible.  This is what service is supposed to be.  I would recommend Crystal Aire to anyone who is looking for REAL service.

"Had been having issues with my refrigerator not staying cold. Used a different repairman the first time, and regretted it soon after when the same issue happened again. I called GVC and made an appointment with Gus. I loved that he showed up when he said he would(which isn't always the case.) The issue was diagnosed within minutes of arrival, and we set a timeline for the repair. Gus followed through on the repairs, and now our refrigerator is back to normal. "Creig arrived right on time. His schedule was flexible and he came on a Saturday which was good for us. He talked with us about the general condition of the garage door and springs. He was knowledgeable about the springs and said ours were fine and did not need to be replaced, even though we thought there was something wrong with them. So he didn't oversell services. I appreciate that. He installed the opener very quickly and told us we had made a good choice. We've been using the opener for 3 weeks now and it works perfectly. The cost for the service was exactly what his estimate was. Creig is also a handyman and we will use him for other projects, too, if he's available."

"AHS is ok. They cover repairs of most everything under the roof of your house. The companies that contract with them are not always the best. You call AHS with the issue, they send a fax to the repair company and give you the contact info. If they don't contact you within 24 hours, you call them. Sometimes they answer, sometimes they don't. When they arrive (usually three days or so later), they service the item. if it has issues within the 90 days, you call AHS again, they are sent out with no charge. If the serviceman decides the unit is unrepairable, AHS will allow you to choose a replacement from their listing (usually not as good as what you have) they will install and remove your old item, or give you wholesale amount to buy and install your own. Prices vary on what you want covered and what you want the copay to be, plus where you live. For me it is 49.99 per month with a 75.00 time of service order. You can have more than one item serviced at the same time under the same fee. If you have a SEAR product the repair guys are great. Not that wild about the other ones they send out. But it is a big savings compared to calling someone on your own. The cost of service is only the 75.00 copay."
