"The male representatives from DaBella arrived in a timely manner. They were very efficient in their inspection of the roof. They found the roof solid and not in need of repair or replacement. They did however find some possible water damage where the gable siding met the house siding. The house had a history of leaking in this area so we were aware of the possible damage. We got a bid to replace the wood gables with a fiber cement product, similar to Hardiplank. They gave us a fair price on doing the gable work, and we signed up with DaBella to have this done. Caden and Drew, the representatives, were very personable. They didn't try to hard sell us on anything we didn't want. We appreciate them being straightforward and honest, as well as knowledgeable about the work needed, and the products that would be used."

"Rocket Construction replaced our shaker roof with a composite roof. We met with Matt and went through all of our choices and once we were ready to move forward they got us on the schedule. The crew that he sent to do the work was so friendly and hard working. We enjoyed chatting a bit with them each day. They worked diligently each day and got the job done quickly. They arrived promptly each morning and picked up each evening before heading out. Matt came by the day after everything was finished up to check the work himself and to see if we had any questions or concerns and to be sure we were satisfied. He is a genuinely nice guy who cares about his customer service. We would highly recommend them to others, and in fact already have!

"New floors look great and they did well even with having to put in an inferior hardwood product - “seconds” which I didn’t know when I purchased. Oak with an unusual finish I love though was challenging to install because not uniform. I have electric now for pendant lighting over an eating bar, and they changed my fixture in dining room. The line of windows and patio doors are outstanding. I have noticed a big difference in my heating bills. The outside noise is suppressed. "The original repair date was July 30, 2024 8:00-5:00. At 12:04, I received an email that the technician Trever was on his way. When he had still not arrived and I had not heard from him, I tried calling the Sears Home Service number and was unable to speak to a person to ask what may have happened. I then called Choice and was told they have no control over the companies they hire to provide the repair services but would reach out to Sears to schedule another person. I then received an email that the technician commented "customer declined service" with a payment receipt for $300.00. WHAT!! Trever never arrived and we never declined service to a person who wasn't here and didn't call. I waited all day for him!! Then Sears Home Services had the nerve to send an email asking for me to rate the excellence of service. I couldn't believe it. Meanwhile my dishwasher still hasn't been repaired or evaluated. The next morning, Wednesday, July 31, William C from Sears Home Services called and said he would be here between 12:00 and 12:30. He arrived about 12:45 and went right to work trying to figure out the problem with the dishwasher. He determined that the cost of repair would exceed $450 and it would take at least a week for the parts to be delivered . He spoke to Michelle at Choice Home Warranty and she said she would let him know whether it should be repaired or replaced. She did call back a few minutes later to say it would be replaced. Not long after that I did receive an email from Choice with that news and the allowance of $246 instead of a replacement. I went to Lowe's to see what I could purchase to replace my dishwasher. The $246 barely covers the $174 delivery and installation and $50 charge to remove the old dishwasher. I ended up tapping the "accept" option b/c I felt pressured. The salesman at Lowe's said it would be at least two weeks for any new dishwasher to be delivered to the store and then scheduled for delivery and installation. Also, I have to pay up front for the entire costs involved. Your email stated it could take up to 30 days to receive the eCard for Lowe's. In the meantime, I STILL don't have a dishwasher. I would very much appreciate CHW expediting the eCard for Lowe's so I can purchase a new dishwasher."

"Well, the first time the replacement was ordered it was the wrong one, which of course, delayed the installation a week. When it was finally installed I had to pay an additional $850 for code upgrades. This I was not informed of by Home Shield. Then we noticed that there was water on the garage floor and found that the pipe coming in from the wall was leaking at the wall so had to call the plumbing company back out to fix it. They first tried to say it was not their fault but since there wasn't a leak before they installed they did fix it. I have used Home Shield a few times before and never had a problem. Some of the companies they use are not the best so you have to research them before you commit. I have found HS service to be good if you do your homework. At the end of the day I was without hot water for almost 3 weeks but it was do to the plumbing company they sent out."

"The vendor scheduled the appointment, the crew showed up on time to review my roof maintenance requirements. Upon arrival they noticed my roof was a tile roof so they called John Jones who spoke to me and said they do not work on these types of roofs, apologized and offered to try and find someone else to honor the request. He indicated that he would contact Angie's list and clarify the Big Deal offer."
