"Freedom Heating & Cooling has been servicing my house and 3 rental properties for the past few years. This time, I had a technician come to check on the furnace in my new rental property as my tenant was receiving high electriity bills. The technician was great. He looked very comfortable working with the electric furnace and was extremely patient while he investigated the possible causes. I enjoyed working with him tremendously. However, my tenant just now received an extremely high electricity bill again, and I contacted the office, not to complain at all, but to have the furnace serviced again. The lady who answered my call (I usually talk with Mike - he's also great!) was so nice and patient while I explained all detailes and to my surprise, she offered to send a technician again ASAP for free. I was fully ready to pay for this service call and did not expect they to offer that level of customer service. I've always been satisfied with them, but now I know why they have been awarded Angie's List SUPER SERVICE AWARD. I paid $479 for the previous service call (over 2 hrs and a new thermostat installation). My return appointment is tomorrow morning. "We decided to use Shavitz Heating & Air Conditioning as the company for the install of our new furnace. What impressed us about Shavitz was their employees. They made the entire process a positive experience. Everyone that interacted with us had a friendly and professional demeanor. It started with the sales visit by Will Gutierrez who was a pleasure to deal with. He provided us with several options while never pressuring us to lean one way or another. He was patient with us and answered all our questions. His courteous approach gave us a positive view of the company he represented. The installing technician, Linas, and the tech that was assisting him only continued this professional trend. They both were equally as courteous. Once the work was complete, Linas made sure he answered all of our questions and that we felt comfortable with the operation of our new furnace and humidifier before he left. His patience was very much appreciated. He also made sure the area were the work was done was clean and all trash removed. Will Gutierrez followed up with us a few days afterwards to make sure all was well, and that we were pleased with the work and our new purchase. Our answer was a definite, yes."

"My husband carefully spelled out his name and our address over the phone, but the office still got both wrong. But besides that, the service tech arrived early after calling us in advance (much appreciated), found that the drain trap was plugged which prevented the unit from moving into the second stage of the heating process, and he cleared it. We're confident that the problem was fixed, and we're pleased with the work he had done. Jim was personable, knowledgeable, and helpful. But for the 20 minutes he was here, and the limited scope of the work that we could see that he had done, we feel that the charge for our drain line flush of $288 was pretty high. We didn't get quotes from other HVAC companies, and we trusted AWE based on Angie's List's reviews, but on reflection, it seems pricey to us. We will nevertheless call them for annual servicing because they are reliable."

"The owner, Steve, came out and explained everything and more that I should be aware of regarding the replacement of the 26 year old furnace and Air conditioning units. He was a pleasure to work with and the price quote was more than acceptable. I did accept and within the week the crew arrived to do the installation. Al and Damien were very professional and the work was extremely well done. They finished that same day and when they left it was if the new units had always been there. I was extremely impressed and will certainly go back to them for future maintenance. You can't go wrong with this company!"

"Tim came out to our home and spent about 3 hours with us evaluating our needs. He did steer us away from some of the most expensive options, stating that we did not need them and they would not provide enough of a return to justify the added cost. The install crew was about 20 minutes late which was not surprising given the distance between their shop and our home. They did call to let us know they were running late due to traffic. With everything they were uninstalling and installing, it was a long day for the crew, but they got everything up and running great. One glitch they had was that they gave me a choice between 2 thermostats and the one I chose did not work so they had to install a different one to get us up and running and come back about 1 week later to install the one we wanted."
