"Danny and his partner installed all 8 windows in 3-1/2 hours. They where both very professional and courteous. Left all areas inside and out very clean. Very, very impressed with there professionalism and courtesy. Danny and I found a small scratch on 1 window between the 2 panes. Danny is ordering a new upper window and assured me it will be replaced in about 3 weeks. When Danny returns I will also show him I am having a problem latching one of the bedroom windows. I am sure Danny will be able to fix or replace the problem. I’d like to thank Shannon for this email from your service and warranty department. Overall very, very satisfied with the service and install by Windows Nation??"

"I highly recommend P Jutras Construction. Paul supported the whole process from identifying the reason the old window was leaking, to finding and ordering a new window, to replacing the window and doing all the finishing work. He came when scheduled, performed the work in the projected timeframe, and provided the highest quality work within a reasonable budget. I will continue to hire Paul (P Jutras Construction) for my house needs."

"Overall we were extremely happy with the result. They went above and beyond in all aspects. We worked with John in ordering the windows, and he went through all the details numerous times to ensure we got what we wanted. He even met us at the showroom on a Saturday to fit with our schedule. The windows turned out great- and for a fraction of the price another company quoted in the Boston area. Highly recommend United Better Homes and hope to use them again for a roof or new doors."

"They came to the house several times to talk about my windows and my options, and to measure the existing windows. The windows they ordered came in when they said they would and they called me promptly. We scheduled a day the next week for installation. The 2 installers who came to the house arrived at the arranged time. They worked steadily through the day. They did very good work, were pleasant, and cleaned up before they left. They replaced any areas of rotten wood, installed new vinyl windows, and covered the existing outside wood trim with aluminum. The job was done in a day."

"The technician determined that the shade was in dire need of replacement but buying a new one was out of the question. He repaired missing fasteners and didn't feel he could warranty the work and therefore did not charge. He was there for about 30 minutes and we were so impressed with him and Exciting Windows! by Verticals that we would recommend them to everyone we know."

"Provided regular contact with me for scheduling. On install day, a Lowe's representative arrived to advise me what the installers were expected to do and a time frame. He returned after the job was finished to ensure the job was done right and address any concerns I might have. <br /> The installers were professional and respectful, and despite the fact they were replacing all the windows, their presence was barely noticeable aside from the noise. They worked quickly and installed 18 window in 1 day, and a picture window the second. The cleaned all residue as they went along. <br /> I have used Lowe's in Seekonk for several major projects in my house, and have consistently received the same attention to detail and focus on customer satisfaction, as well as good prices. <br />"

"When we first called Gary for a estimate he returned our call the same day and came out the next day to give us a estimate. Came right when he said he would be there so we where not waiting. We decided to hire Gary to do the refacing of the cabinets and new countertop. When all the materials arrived he called us to set up a time to start the job. Came exactly when he said he would and by the end of the day had a large portion of the cabinets done. The countertop was a little more complicated then originally expected so he needed to replace the existing deck so the cost was a little more but not too much. When we originally spoke he was going to replace the hood (microwave unit) over the stove with shelves but after looking at it suggested that a new cabinet might look better so we agreed to do that. He arrived each day at exactly the time he said he would and was a pleasure to work with. He always made sure he was doing what we wanted before making any changes. He started the project on Monday and was finished by Thursday afternoon. The whole project turned out beautiful. I will definitly hire him again and refer him to friends."

FAQs for new windows service projects in Amherst, NH

Yes, bay windows add value to a home. They enhance the property by expanding the interior space and flooding rooms with natural light. Their unique three-panel design creates a stunning focal point that elevates curb appeal and modernizes living areas. This architectural detail increases both functional space and visual appeal, directly contributing to higher home resale value.

Yes, all window types have the potential to become part of a bay window configuration when modified correctly. The transformation involves reconfiguring standard windows into a multi-panel design that features a larger central window flanked by smaller ones. This process requires precise professional planning and custom framing to ensure durability, visual balance, and structural integrity.

Bay windows typically consist of three glass panels extending beyond the home's exterior walls, with a larger center panel flanked by two smaller ones. In contrast, bow windows are composed of four to six equally sized glass panels that create a gentle curve and do not extend as far from the exterior walls.

Bay windows cost more than standard windows because their expansive, multi-panel design requires additional materials and skilled labor. Their construction involves extra glass, specialized frame components that extend outward, and complex operating mechanisms. These technical demands necessitate precise engineering and multiple expert installations, thereby significantly increasing both material and labor expenses.

Bay windows cost three times more than standard double-hung windows because their design requires extra panels, expanded framing, and a more complex installation process. The advanced construction method increases material consumption and demands comprehensive expertise, while specialized window treatments further elevate expenses. This all results in a significant difference in overall project cost.
