"The initial meeting was a no pressure discussion of my needs and the products available. Exteriors was not the lowest bid, but still was competitive. Based on my previous experience I went with this contractor. Basic measurements were taken along with a down payment. The custom windows would be ready in about three to four week. The window was ready as promised, and I was contacted to arrange the installation. This is where the third time proved not to be the charm. In the morning of the install, they called indicating that there was a problem with their truck, and we rescheduled for noon. Around noon they called again to reschedule for late afternoon. They finally arrived at about 3:30pm. They quickly set to work removing the old windows and started to install the new ones. This is when I noticed that the new windows were double pane, and not the triple pane originally ordered. I was informed that my only options were to have the double pane windows installed. I could then leave them as is, have them completely replaced with triple pane window assembly, or just replace some of the window panes. The new assemblies or sash would take another three to four week to order. I opted for the former. While the installers did a good job on the installation and the windows are similar to what I have on the rest of the house, I can’t say that this was a positive experience. Due to the scheduling delays, I was out a day of work. I also have windows that that are not what I ordered. Exteriors offered to take a couple of hundred off the price. I accepted. They also offered to give me a special deal on replacing my roof to compensate for the missed work. Given my recent experience and other roofing reviews, I declined that offer and went with another company."
