"I hired DF Construction to replace windows, siding, garage doors, gutters and my front door. This is the biggest single project I’d ever considered and I was very apprehensive about it. I kept imagining all the things that could go wrong! Don Frame and his crew were wonderful to work with. From the very first estimate, Don took the time and made plenty of measurements to make sure that he knew exactly what I was hoping to get. He explained the options and suggested some alternatives that saved me quite a bit of money. Don’s crew encountered challenges as they worked — bitter cold being the worst — but they always remained courteous, pleasant and professional. Every time something unexpected came up, Don or one of his crew explained the options and made sure I was happy with their solution. They cleaned up after themselves every day and always arrived on time. DF Construction did a fantastic job! I am very pleased with the final result and I won’t hesitate to contact Don again for future projects."

"I had a sewer backup that flooded a room in my home. I had roto rooter dude out to my house 3 previous times in the course of a year to unclog my lines. I tried to reach out to rooterman but he was too busy. I hopped on Angies List and looked up plumbing. Farrell bros is what i decided to go with but was hesitant due to the F ratings. Their plumber Mike, i think it was mike (Marine Veteran) was at my house in less than an hour. He snaked and cleaned out the line, but he found what rooterman had missed! He saw that the trap plugs were rotted out and replaced them. Then he used a camera to scope out the line and i found out i had a broken Trap and a belly! How did the Rooterman miss this three times?? Mike ordered me a part and replaced the broken stuff and was very kind. Both of us were Marines so we bonded a bit over that i think. Anyway, he offered to get me an estimate for digging up and replacing the sewer line and told me about the financing. I may or may not go with them for that big job, i haven't decided yet and am trying to find a cheaper solution such as getting a excavator in there and exposing the pipe then calling Farrell in to replace. One thing is for sure, i wont call the rooterman anymore! Mike from Farell is a great plumber. Ignore some of these other crazy sounding reviews, i can tell you first hand that these people are legitimate."

"It all went very well from the beginning. Charlie, the salesman, was a delight to work with, very responsive to our questions and didn't try to sell us anything we didn't want.   <br /> Today was install day and Mr. Cramer was here when he said he would be. His crew was very polite, they cleaned up after the work was done, explained how the windows work and were gone by early afternoon. The windows all work very nicely, were very clean and look really nice. Our little community has about 150 units and, from the outside, we have the neatest looking windows here......well, us and our next-door neighbors who had Mr. Cramer do their windows earlier this summer. <br /> A really good company, with old-fashioned values and work ethic - would hire them again in a NY minute to do anything they say they can do. "<p>These were the 5 upstairs windows on my house.  4 years earlier, Pella had installed similar windows downstairs and I had been very happy with the job.  Not so this time.  Initial installation in December 2014 was fast and seemed fine.  Later, however, I walked outside and realized the external cladding had not been caulked and was starting to separate from the frame.  I called the project manager who inspected the job, agreed with my assessment, and had the installer contact me to arrange to come and put it right.  He kept delaying the job because he was busy on other projects, and on one occasion failed to turn up when he said he would. When he finally came he and his assistant spent only 40 minutes on the entire job.  On checking I saw he had still only partially caulked the cladding.  The perimeter of the cladding, where it contacts the wooden frame was still not caulked, and rain could get in.  I compared the installation with the downstairs windows done earlier, so I could see how the upstairs ones should have been caulked.  When I showed the installer what he had not finished, he said if I wanted he would come back in the Spring and finish the caulking.  I told him not to bother, since I figured I could do a better job myself.  Pella needs to hire and train more professional people.  I purchased a premium product, but I received much less than premium service.</p> <p>This is a postscript, to report on action taken by the company as a result of my complaint.  The project manager returned to my house and confirmed that the outside cladding had not been installed to their standards.  The next day, a different installation team came, removed the cladding and replaced it with new material.  They were thorough, professional, and did an excellent job.  If I had received this level of service initially, I would have given an overall "A".  It is to Pella's credit that they returned to make good on the work.<br /> <br /></p>"
