Our backyard renovation was especially important to my husband and me, because this is our first house, and it was inheritance money from my grandparents that provided for the project. "DO NOT hire Mannis for your general contract needs. We made this horrible mistake, and it ended up costing us significantly. These other positive reviews seem to be from much smaller projects. I m almost certain our renovation was one of their first attempts at a larger project. Tyler has little to no experience in this field, and Mike (his dad/owner) was of no help. We hired Mannis to finish our basement. You name it, it went wrong…multiple crews in and out, creating disjointed work, chaos, and miserable outcomes. While the project was already running significantly over the original timeframe, and after we had advanced them (early!), the second deposit, Tyler took off to Thailand for 2 weeks. Upon his return, he called us immediately requesting more money, (before even the completion of the reciprocal work which should have been completed with the second deposit) and accused us of micro-managing the project, despite him not even visiting the work site, or addressing why the project had gone so off the rails. The project was eventually abandoned, and the incomplete work that WAS done was horrible: walls weren't straight, walls weren't floated properly, electrical was incomplete and dangerously unprotected, the wrong insulation was used throughout, plumbing had to be ripped out and redone, and trash was sealed up in the walls. We found out many things were not done to code, and it cost us a terrible amount of time and money to rectify. "

Juan was instrumental in developing the overall design concept, as well as brainstorming ideas for how to implement some of the custom details that we wanted (including a drink table for our hot tub!). He offered various design schemes for the deck boards, railing and stairs, as well, presenting options for upgraded looks and function while never pushing for pricier items (he even steered us away from the highest end composite panels because he didn't believe that we would benefit enough from it). Ricky and the construction team were friendly, always on time and created an extremely sturdy and attractive deck that was just as cool - or better - than Juan described during the design. Overall, GreenHouse delivered on their promises, finishing in even less time than they estimated and at the agreed budget price with no change orders or markups along the way. I highly recommend them and would happily hire them again!"
