"We had an unfinished space with walkup stairs above our 2-car garage that we wanted to finish. I had a general idea of what I wanted done, and provided. He provided a detailed line item quote, and I was waiting on another quote from someone else (never received). It appeared high at $18,500...but I didn't really have anything to base that on. I am "El Cheapo," and eventually decided to GC it myself. I used my brother-in-law for carpentry (knee walls, box out chimney, floor, window, and door trim), flooring, and a DIY mini-split installation. All of these things I could NOT have done on my own - I needed his expertise. I hired a roofer for the lone skylight install. I bid out the plastering, gyp and painting. I hired the electrician. The space came out great, and I was involved so there's that satisfaction. But I'm sure the schedule dragged out, and I think I ultimately tallied the costs at around $15k on my own. All this is to say is that at the end of the day, his quote turned out to be quite competitive, and had I gone with him I would have saved myself the headaches of finding the subs and potentially could gotten the project done sooner. I did not go with him, but figured the least I could do is give him credit on his punctuality seeing and submitting competitive pricing on the project. Next project that comes up I'll think of using him."

"I highly recommend using Scott Curtice for any renovation project no matter how complex it is. We bought a house that was over a hundred years old that had not been renovated for decades. Starting from the planning stage, Scott was wonderful about redesigning the house in order to open up the space and bring it into a more modern look. He spent several sessions reworking his plan always taking into account our needs and desires. Once the actual renovation began, we ran into a number of complex structural issues with the house itself. No matter what obstacle came up, Scott and his team were able to find solutions. His team was efficient in their work and they were all always reliable. In fact, many of our neighbors were astounded that all subcontractors worked on the home daily and that they actually were busy the entire time they were at our house. In addition, the lines of communication between ourselves and Scott, as well as his subcontractors, were always open. They kept us abreast of the project's updates and always made suggestions for ways to improve the work for aesthetics and/or cost savings ideas. Scott’s work was beautiful and he and his crew paid attention to every detail. The majority of the house required a gut renovation and it came out exquisite. "We are so thrilled that we chose Joe and Jonathan from Home Pro Services for such a major home construction project! We had TWO bathrooms that were circa 1980s in our home and BOTH needed a gutting renovation. We had solicited several quotes, but Joe and Jonathan of Home Pro Services came as a personal recommendation from a friend, and we had already seen the beautiful work they had done. Home Pro's prices seemed lower/in line with market prices. We needed gutting of the existing spaces, some revision of electrical and plumbing, installation of walls, ceiling, floors, fans, tile work, fixtures. Joe made himself incredibly available. He is pleasant to work with. He is very responsive! He is highly attentive to details. He dispelled all of our myths of "the absent contractor". As expected there were some unforeseen construction issues having to do with water damage etc. we faced along the way, but Joe helped us address these in a fair and equitable way. We also appreciated, given the timing of our project which was during the COVID outbreak, that he did not bring large teams of people into our home. The plumbers, electricians and painters he referred for our project were also highly qualified and respectful. The quality of Home Pro services by far exceeded our expectations!
